Give us the option to buy silver for glimmer.. Simple as that!
Locking this content to ONLY being accessed via credit card is a mistake, and makes people salty!
Being able to spend 10,000 glimmer for 200 silver would allow people to work INGAME to access Tess Everest and her packages!
Opening these packages is undeniably fun, but please Bungie, give us the option of working INGAME to get silver!

No. Bungie would then nerf the amount of Glimmer you get even more, possibly even daily caps. It would make more sense getting to the max level/light for the first time.
-
2 RepliesWORST IDEA EVER. Ever heard of 'inflation'? If Bungie introduce a way for a player to buy silver with in game currency it would continuously add ridiculous amounts of silver to the economy. This will only create a demand for items and prices will start to go up. In a matter of months, players will have farmed so much, prices would x2 x3 x4 what they are now.
-
Luke Smith can't buy his burgers and cheesecake with glimmer, so not gonna happen. As you were.
-
11 RepliesNo, then Bungie doesn't make money. And there would be no reason to have silver.
-
In my opinion, if anyone is willing g to spend 2 dollars on trying to get a "perfect roll when there are 12 different armor peice you are guarunteed to get one of, but you aren't even guarunteed to get the peice of armor you need, let them. You just can't fix stupid.

1 ReplyHow about get a job?
-
6 RepliesLook mate, if you could afford a 300-400 dollars console; buy a 60 dollar game, along with like 40-50 dollars worth of DLC; I am sure you can afford to spend some cash on silver.

1 ReplyGlimmer cap for 100 silver... thatd work
-
Sadly this will never happen... when money is involved morals and ethics don't mean diddly squat to companies.
-
20 RepliesGo to your local Walmart or Target. Fill up a cart with goods and at checkout, pull up your Destiny companion app and attempt to pay with your vast reserves of glimmer. Now you know why Bungie made silver purchasable by real world funds. Because as a company, they seem to feel real money is good.

3 RepliesEdited by SQ: 4/2/2016 8:44:31 PM*thanks the maker* What about this an new xur consumable Alchemists coin: chance to drop up to 200 (in intervals of 50) silver from the next ultra kill 50 would drop 40% of the time 100 would drop 35% of the time 150 would drop 25% of the time And 200 would drop 10%

Maybe 25000 for 200 So at least buying is still worth
-
1 ReplyEdited by Onxide: 4/2/2016 8:52:10 PMThey should do what 343 did with Halo 5 where it gives you the option to buy them with real money or REQ points.
-
Microtransactions suck ass
-
1 ReplyThat ruins the entire point of micro transactions
-
2 RepliesThe point of having microtransactions is to make money. You cant let glimmer buy alot of silver or the irl money would lose value completely. To make it equal, id say 1000 glimmer every silver
-
1 ReplyIf it's glimmer for silver than you should REALLY have to work for so buying with money is still an realistic option. I think it should be max glimmer cap for 10 or 20 silver. This means you have to play a ton to get that item you want.
-
I mean they basically do this on Black Ops 3, I don't see why they couldn't also do it on Destiny.
-
That's not the point of silver
-
Um... ask Activision not Bungie
-
4 RepliesSorry bud, but no. Yes it works in F2P games like Warframe (Platinum) and Smite (Gems), but Destiny isn't F2P. In Warframe for instance, Plat is used to buy almost anything you want, whereas in Destiny it's used for pure Cosmetics. You can argue that Sterling Treasure armour drops change that, but the fact is you're not just getting a 320 piece of armour, you still need to already have one.

I would have to be much more expensive than that simple ass grind. 10,000 Glimmer for 10 Silver. I would save so much money if this was possible. This will never happen. Anybody who plays Destiny would easily be able to buy what they want. Wanna dump your Glimmer? Buy weapon parts and boost a faction. Silver will always be independent of in game currencies.
-
Edited by Pyro 509: 4/2/2016 7:49:45 PMThey are using the profit to fund development of free content and the future of the game. Glimmer is way too easy to farm for that to work, it would have to be more along 10k for 10 silver and take time to accumulate enough to buy anything or there would be no reason to actually spend money on it.
-
Nobody would pay real money for silver if they could buy it with glimmer. It wouldn't be a viable business plan.
-
2 Replies25000 glimmer for 10 silver

9 RepliesThis is about the stupidest thing i have ever read. This is also a pointless post since that will never happen.
