Division: discovers 'MIDAS' smg hits a little too hard for what it is, nothing gamebreaking but with the right setup is a little too godly. Within 48 hours a small(SMALLLLL) nerf is given and is still a strong weapon but not considered OP anymore
Destiny: Thorn and TLW, 2 of the most OP, Broken guns to ever exist (I abused them both) in any FPS/shooter game took 7 months for bungie to address. And by address I mean nerf the whole handcannon weapon class...and fusion rifles.

There's a bug in my game that puts a waypoint to an upgrade tutorial every time I connect to a server even though my wings are all over 50%. Many people have this problem and the general response from Ubisoft is just to deal with it
-
11 RepliesCool. I'm still not buying it.
-
Another Destiny and Division comparison. When will this get old?

5 RepliesEdited by Artificiarius: 3/17/2016 8:07:11 PMThis truly goes to show how much you do not understand how sandbox programing works and differs between games. With one generally being much more simple. I refuse to get into detail for you but the topography of both games is vastly different. Yes bungie took awhile from a programming standpoint, but there are many values and calculations across the sandbox where hits occur across ranges of different enemie types and levels that have the propensity to mess up greatly. The Midas wasn't just alittle good. It was down right broken. Thorn was not over powered as multiple weapons could still take it down as to where The Divisions problem with the Midas was that a team of 4 with the gun was quite literally unbeatable in both pve and pvp. A team of thorn useres was annoying but not unbeatable and if you think that they were, your lying. The whole team getting super abilities every 20 seconds with that critical rate had to be fixed imediately because it was breaking the game. If you think thorn and tlw were breaking the game then I hate to break it to you... but you might suck at destiny. Or complained so hard you were easy to outplay. Thorn and tlw were over powered not unbeatable. Sincerely, someone who plays both games happily and doesn't come to the fourms and attempt to point out petty differences for some strange satisfaction.

Midas?
-
Looking at the Destiny nerf schedule, it looks like Bungie wants OP guns to rule Crucible for months before creating another OP gun.
-
12 RepliesSo you're telling me that you love the Division and are currently playing it and still feel a need to come on the destiny forums to complain about destiny? sounds like you don't want to play the division, sounds like you just want destiny to be better so you can come back.

2 RepliesEdited by Odd Ball M4AE4: 3/18/2016 12:12:33 AMSo,you want nerf to Fusion Rifles?
-
5 RepliesDude, are you still crying about OP weapons and weapon balancing in Destiny? There is a twitch stream coming up next week with the Bungie janatorial staff, just chill out.
-
4 RepliesGot it! Nerf fusion rifles!
-
58 RepliesThe smg bandwagon is huge. Very few people know a good assault rifle build like me. I'm sitting at 216k dps. I honestly thought that the cap would be around 180-200 but I was wrong
-
dude, if you wanna talk about OP weapons, bet resident evil 4, get 1 million ptas and buy the infinite ammo, 1 hit kill rocket launcher.

6 RepliesEdited by ThisMahSwamp: 3/17/2016 4:01:03 PMAs an owner of the Midas pre and post nerf, this is true. The gun was noticeably powerful in high end DZ areas, but its true power really showed when going Rogue or hunting down Rogues. The nerf was needed since you could essentially mow down guys in a REALLY short time (The TTK on the gun crit wise was way out of wack in comparison to other weapons of a similar archetype), all the while getting healed...Making it difficult for people to deal with from a PvP standpoint. Post nerf, it is still a fantastic gun, only really outclassed by a well rolled High-End Vector, if modded correctly. Speedy patch, little to no overreach. FYI, buy the damn Vector from the vendor in DZ6...The thing is stupid nasty in PvE. To the people saying: "They removed the special perk". No, no they didn't, at least not permanently. It was removed for MAYBE a grand total of 2 days so that they could modify it appropriately and reintroduce it. See the above pic for reference. This was taken yesterday. The perk people are referring to as "removed" is emphasized above to show it is indeed active.

3 RepliesMidas got its balks cut off by removing the signature perk. It was insanely op though, so I dont mind.
-
2 RepliesDestiny story had it written in stone. Those DVALIN relics we found for the sleeper quest? That was Bungie foreshadowing thier own fusion rifle nerf into oblivion. Thats why they all are essentially useless Pocket Infinities.

Destiny is literally a game created to pool in mass amounts of money with minimal effort or money spent during the process. What you people don't realize is that 500m is released through out the contract of 10 years based off profit. If Destiny doesn't meet the expectations of the corporate greedy satan worshipers than unfortunately Destiny will be discontinued. It's just a matter of time before the last few remaining players see this and move onto better games which I will not mention.

1 ReplyYou clearly don't seem to think that the fusions needed a nerf... It was clear they did
-
... which resulted in an unintended nerf to Vex Mythoclast
-
1 ReplyYour move Bungie.
-
I really really wanted The Division to be awesome, but I'm finding myself getting bored with it. I got tired of the destiny rng, but The Division has a grind that rivals it.
-
2 RepliesUnfortunately I hated The Division ... No matter how fast they deal with balancing.
-
2 RepliesSince pvp is practically non existent in the division, why nerf anything?
-
1 ReplyThis is the Bungie #Destiny forum....Go on #Gaming or go to Ubisoft forums.
-
Pvp in division? What's that?
-
3 RepliesYou know you are comparing a new game to a game that's about 18 months old right?
