12 Man Raid

Am I the only one that wants a 12man raid? Like a longer raid, more difficult, and twice the bosses with double the loot? My buddy used to play WoW and he was telling me about 26man raids, with squads, captains and some more stuff and it just sounded dope. I don't see why Bungie couldn't add a 12man raid, at least as an experiment. It would be something different than the same old same old, and who knows..it might draw some attention back to Destiny. 0_o Bump if you like the idea (: EDIT 1: It seems like a lot of people have a hard time finding a decent team for the raid. Which is understandable. My advice to you guys, is ask for people who are experienced. And when you do find a solid team.. Add them and make them your raid buddies. Saves a lot of time and trouble. EDIT 2: Yes, I agree totally that in order for this to even be considered Bungie would have to implement some sort of in game LFG.

  • Haha Bungie can't even support 6 man raids or 3v3 game modes right now without people red barring or getting a bungie error code. If they made a 12 man raid you would never even land on whatever planet the raid was on LOL

    • If they don't add lfg or some team building to the tower then there would be no point making a 12 man raid. It would end up with only 0.04% being able to play it.

      • well, as long as they fixed the servers to hold that many people without lag, i think thatd be awesome. but the thing is, destiny has battle mechanics. in wow you just attack the boss, similar to a strike. but in destiny raids you have to coordinate, which would make a 12 man raid extremely difficult

        • You cannot fit 12 people in an Xbox party. The max is eight. If you want to deal with the game chat being stupid because of NAT issues be my guest.

            • Wow actually had 40 man raids which were the bees knees lol. If people could handle 40 people at once, it should be pretty simple with 12.

              • DC Universe Online has 8 player and it's fun. They could have groups break apart in an even larger raid to do simultaneous tasks by using proximity chat to only hear the players in a subgroup. Anything smaller just amplifies why PoE stunk. There is something special when you have a large group that needs to work together. With all the neglect in Destiny I've gone back to DCUO and realize how awesome that game is. Hopefully Bungie will look at that game and others to learn how to make a huge MMO hybrid. At least Xbox players will get a chance to play DCUO soon.

                • Some people can't comprehend the mechanic of Kings Fall and you want to make it even more complex. Good luck with lfg. I'm not saying that me and my clan mates wouldn't rock it but it would have a very low completion % for the rest of the community.

                  • Bungie can't even get together optional matchmaking for Crimson doubles. Unless it's available in most game modes, excluding the fanboy raids, I will not be purchasing destiny 2. I often play better without hearing the other assholes name call, degrade and finger point at other players. I have heard friends yelling at one another and taking this shit way too serious. I have never heard people get so worked up over moving digital images around on a screen. I play to decompress after a day of work, not to be stressed over a game. I enjoy the strikes. They are match made and have mechanics that can be learned after a few play throughs, and I like patrol, other than that Destiny just can't figure out how to construct an other event and make it fun for all.

                  • 1: too much lag 2: wow raids are like 4-5x longer and people who raid are more dedicated to them. They aren't headless chickens as I've found many destiny players to be. 3: wow has in game group finders on top of endless amounts of raiding guilds with dedicated raid times. 4: flexible raid sizes. Wow's normal and heroic modes are 10 to 30 players. Raid difficulty scales to your group size. Worth noting that mythic mode, however, is still locked at 20. 5: wow raids have a lot more replayability in my opinion. More replayability = more people wanting to do them. 6: alts. 11 characters vs 3 characters. The more characters you want to raid with, the more raid groups that need be made, allowing for people on their mains who fell behind to easily find groups.
