Bungie, you've made an awful decision
So iron banner came out today. I began playing it, like anyone else. I've played iron banner control and clash. Rift, was an awful choice. You can't play solo. I've played 5 games, lost all of them. All if my other friends left for other games. So I'm forced to play solo. Other teams are coordinated. What's the point of playing it if you can't reap rewards, so far it's a waste of time
Looks like I'm at matchmaking mercy. Alot of people seem to be doing amazing at solo

2 RepliesI've played solo across 3 characters, enough to earn the daily bounties for each. I've experienced.... 3 JIPs, 1 of which was a 2 minute win (oddly these were only my first 3 matches) 1 mercy rule, I was on the losing side ~6 matches that were tons of fun Those fireteams of 5/6 I lost against? Likely going to lose against them [b]regardless[/b] of game type. Truthfully so far I think Rift plays much better than expected. It's a focused game type, and it really encourages a team -- [b]all teams[/b] -- to work through teamwork. So far so good for me.

Rift is fun!! And no one is stopping you from making friends in matches and sending invites. You don't even have to go to a site.... Just message them or use fire team chat.

I tryed to play with just one friend and we won 2 of 12 games, we were the only players trying to get the spark, the other team just camped the spark and had one guy running, we couldn't even get near it. The other team got both heavy boxes and camped their rift with machine guns, if by some miracle we got heavy the players not in my fireteam would just open the box for themselfs.

1 ReplyLol at all of you. Every game mode is easier with a fireteam, rift is no different than control or clash. If you are solo and face a group you are most likely going to have a harder match. No matter the game mode. I for one enjoy rift as a whole and will play solo mostly or with a FT of 2 or 3. Besides all we want is rank 5 right? Which you will reach, easy before Tuesday.

We won 11 of them, a couple against full fireteams and a couple of mercies against other teams of randoms. I've already finished one of my weeklies and am waiting to hit Rank 4 for the other. Just need a few more kills to finish off the third. My only issue with Rift is that it can be a k/d killer if you play to the objective, because sometimes "playing to the objective" means being a bullet sponge for your runner.

1 ReplyThis is why I don't get why iron banner hasn't always been a bare bones version of rumble. Trials exists for master team work, iron banner should be the test of individual skill. No supers, no exotics, only rumble. That's how you make a true lord of the iron banner

I'm solo and I'm doing ok,Finished my bounties and up to rank 3 already. Didn't even know what rift was till I started iron banner, so I just shot the shit out off everything around the 'spark' thingy. It's not better the control but it's still a blast, just shot shit and have fun. Don't worry about KD it's about fun.

Barely reached 2 today and I started playing last night. I can't make my team play the objective. Almost done with the weeklies. Need a couple more games then -blam!- it I'm done. Since IB started I've gone 5 on all my toons, not this time, I don't have the patience to deal with that shit fest any longer than one toon. Gonna turn my weeklies in on Sunday or Monday. Screw Bungie, those common sense lacking idiots have shown us how much they listen to the community this week. Nothing but a bunch of asshats.

This is the worst pvp... Nay event period that i ever played in destiny. Soon as i get a scout rifle i am done. I know destiny wants us to join up in groups and play... But they messed that up by forcing us in the beginning to use party chat
