Did you know there are other Warlock subclasses besides sunsinger in PvE?
If you need to self res in Kings Fall then you're bad. There's other warlock subclasses that can actually help your team out my killing adds for them quickly which will keep [i]everyone[/i] alive not just yourself.

2 RepliesDuring oryx if a bomb is to far and ya dont think the guardian will make it back, I just volunteer to take it if im on my lock. If I dont make it back self ress is useful :) (I run all classes and all subclasses depending on what activity im playing.)

7 RepliesThe way I've always seen it, the self-res IS for keeping your team alive. It's the panic button for when the rest of the team -blam!-s up. Which means they died. Because that happens. Fireborn automatically makes you the team medic. When someone runs out and does something stupid or just simply gets overwhelmed, you send a Sunsinger after them for a revive. That way, in case the area is still too hot and the Sunsinger goes down, they can self-res and either keep going to the fallen ally, or pull back and wait until the area can be cleared. Sunsingers are Void - walkers and Hunters best friend, because their supers often take them directly into a swarm of enemies, and then cut-off before they have taken care of all the hostiles. So you send in a Sunsinger who drops a couple grenades to clear a path and you get the revive. It's all about knowing how to support the team, and though Sunsingers can't wipe out a crowd in an instant, they do have a unique purpose on the battlefield.

The reason people use self Rez is they are the insurance policy during a raid or nightfall, and sometimes during one or the two shit will happen and your team could die but a self Rez warlock could save you from a wipe

I love having Stormcallers on my team. Get my super, tether a group and give those Sith bastards the time of their life, all the while generating enough orbs for them to have their super again.
