I mean, yeah I see the plans and don't agree with the business model. But, I am having fun with chasing certain guns and trying to get the best rolls. It's like collecting Pokemon cards to me. Nowadays I don't have much time to play and at this pace I quite enjoy myself.
In the demo, I spent hours shooting stuff in the Divide in the Cosmodrome. That tiny place had a great atmosphere to me. Sometimes I put some nice music on, and go explore the environments. No stressing about lagswitchers in Trials, noobs in raids, just me, my new gun and the place I am in. And I am on 360, but still love the beauty of the scenery.
Might not work for everybody, but stop stressing about something that supposed to relief stress.
See you guys out there! I always wave.

3 RepliesIf you can't have fun then what's the point? It's supposed to be entertaining

4 RepliesIm going to quote someone. "A game stops being a game the moment its not fun."
-
Me! I have cut everything that feels like unrewarding grind and only do fun things, and only for as long as I think they're fun.
-
Man, absolutely.

Once I'm finished with my raids I take the same approach OP. I go out on patrols, pick away at bounties, level up any new armor I may have gotten, and otherwise wind down with whatever new weapons I got. I don't even grind strikes anymore other than my three heroics per week for the marks.

I still play for fun. I can only do small doses now (about an hour or two) because of the frustration of the still broken RNG system but I still enjoy the game a lot. I have a good job and make a decent living so I don't mind spending $5-10 here and there. It would go on Destiny or comics so what is the diff. I am 43 and have a wife and family so the game does not consume me but I still enjoy the hell out of a couple craft beers and couple hours of Destiny.

Lol I always blow a kiss. But I always have fun, granted yes the game has some minor flaws but all in all its still a gun game to play

I have fun

16 RepliesEdited by Krobolus: 12/20/2015 9:15:38 AMYour current situation is exactly who the game is catering to. A person with not much time, that gets on for a 1/2 hour or so a few days a week and putters around shooting at tin cans and car tires . That's all well and good that you have no time, and can have fun inside a paper bag because you are easily amused. And that works for a small portion of the player base. But anyone who has disposable time, or makes time to play the game for a few hours a day, 5 days a week, and more on weekends there is -blam!- all to do. You can do all the content in 1 day in a few hours and your Done (with some decent players, not even great players) You log in Tuesday, do the raid, do your bounties, queens bounties, nightfall, weekly and then what do you do for the other 6 days ? Run around shooting tin cans and tires ? Creating your own fun in open world games (shared world or MMO) is just Bad Game Design. Period. Lack of Planning in setting up numerous, varied And interesting content for 7 days a week for at least a few hours each day to satisfy your Core players (not Hardcore , I said Core players that have plenty of time ) is a BASIC and Fundemental principal when designing content for a Open World game. What is there to do after one day of doing all the content ? Picking up Beacons that have the most Basic tasks to complete and your 6 bounties that have just as equally basic task to complete a day? Yeah okay that's not content, that's a bitch slap to gamers with a salami roll. Bungie with Destiny has gotten their playerbase so use to having such a patheticly tiny amount of content, that they are now not even asking for more content, they are stating that they have fun just logging in and doing next to nothing. What did you do today ? " I logged into Destiny and shot car tires and tin cans for an hour, and had so much fun man , so much fun man, I swear it was fun " /smiles insanely with some frothy spittle covering his lips. ( their friend proceeds to block them in contacts, and listed the reason for Blocking as "Brain washed Desticle: Confirmed" )

2 RepliesSometimes I like to sit in the Cosmodrome under that bright moon, listen to the Fallen call from across the way and remember the days of innocence. The days when Taken didn't corrupt the land. Before Crota. Before the Vault of Glass was unsealed. I like to sit in the Cosmodrome and remember those cold nights in a tiny trailer with me and my roommate booting up Destiny to hear the triumphant theme we would both hum as loud as we could. We didn't know what we were going to do. But whatever it was, it was going to be fun. I miss that.

7 RepliesShit game, repeating the same tiny content on a loop isn't fun its an addiction.
-
Fun? This concept is new to me, how much do I have to grind for it and where?
-
2 RepliesYou're one of few people remaining that are still playing the game because they enjoy it,not because it doesn't give them everything they are complaining for. I play Destiny almost every day and I'm still enjoying it

I wanted a shooter where I can create my own character. My only two options at this moment are the Mass Effect Trilogy and Destiny. As much as I enjoy playing Mass Effect sometimes I just want to shoot something. That is where Destiny comes into play. Despite the game's numerous flaws, it can be a fun pickup and play shooter, especially when I'm not running around trying to get specific gear or weapons. Every time I play Destiny I can not help but think to myself, this would have been an excellent Mobile Game but because it is on a console you expect more from this game, especially for a game that cost $80. Someone once said (I'm not sure who, I might have read this on a forum) that Casual Gamers far out number I'm going to call them Traditional Gamers because Hardcore Gamer does not really describe me. The Companies making these games are trying to make money and they are going to cater to the audience that makes them the most money. Gamers like me always lose out because we are in the minority.

Hey how you doing
