I think you are missing the entirety of this concept. We as humans have been evolving slowly over centuries to become what we are. Most of our changes are internal however. Example: our metabolism has changed to go from eating very coarse and raw foods to more processed and broken down food. Another? our minds have had huge changes to survivability and socialization to better ourselves in these high population lifestyles. Take autism for example. Previously this adaptation was unsuccessful and therefore did not exist so prominently nor did it appear so distinctly. Now, however, the success of this adaptation in the modern world through technology and dedicated programs allows the reproduction of this adaptation (which in nature is a sign of success and therefore the changes can be perceived to be evolution). Personally, I see autism as the evolution of the brain where the survival protocols are diminished and shrunken to allow room for advancement in areas such as math or science (ie rainman) which seems to me a disaster for the human race. But hey, what can 1 person do about a rapidly evolving society where we depend on DC and AC. Dont believe me? look up the concept, actual doctors have similar theories.
