Last Word balance- disable ADS completely
The Last Word has emerged as a gigantic problem in crucible once more thanks to the handcannon buff. It is operating at mid range while ADS rendering auto rifles completely worthless and making game modes such as rumble essentially one gun modes if you want to compete. Bungie has shown they have trouble balancing around this one particular gun many times, when it was in control recently it caused nearly every other handcannon to be worthless via the weapon class nerf.
What should be done is this- The Last Word needs to lose the ability to ADS completely. It will then be the close range weapon it was meant to be without insane power outside it's intended range and it will no longer threaten the handcannon class as a whole with nerfs.
Edit #1. To the many attempting to defend The Last Word, just stop for a moment and think. If it keeps performing like it is there will be a handcannon class nerf again. The result will be that it will be balanced once more while all other handcannons are mediocre to unusable.
Edit#2. There are truly an amazing amount of people rushing in with mindless, off the wall insults. So many can provide no argument. We all know TLW is operating outside it's intended range. Try to deflect or just deny the facts. Remember, if the last word isn't dealt with it will destroy the entire handcannon class once more.

2 RepliesWhy not make crucible no guns, no melee, no super and no map weapons? When spawn - players can just start running around like headless chickens until times up. Draw match and everyone get exotic engrams :) We have been suffering with so many tunings and nerfs; i miss those period without forum and when you die all the time in crucible = git gud.

It's not meant to be aimed down sights. And it has incredible range and accuracy and damage when you don't. Making everyone learn to use it correct is counter productive to your crying.

1 ReplyHawkmoon does pretty well against TLW users. All you have to do is pick your engagements. Don't rush a corner when someone is nearby on the radar for example. I have seen so many people doing this while using a scout rifle or a pulse rifle it's not even funny.

There are plenty of other options to combat TLW. If you get in real close, you're probably going to lose. The ADS range is horrible really. Take it from a guy with over 40k kills with the gun. I've used it when it had amazing range and I've used it now when the range is horrible. It's honestly most likely your positioning in 1v1 combat. I can't check your profile to see if you have the gun or use it but I encourage you to if you haven't. You'll quickly find that the range is awful.

3 RepliesYour a dumb ass. Tlw rang is terrible ads. Hip fire does more damage and has more range. You just run into people who are good with it. Taking ads away from last word does absolutely nothing for the gun seeing as its strenght comes from hip fire anyways

Pistols are only a tad bit better than just throwing them at your opponent. TLW is only good because you can [b]actually[/b] hit the side of the barn.

Believe me if this continues pulse rifles will be back to the top and then they'll nerf them and buff them again and the cycle shall continue if we have these pieces if shit crying everyday.
