So...Bungie is finally starting to implement fun into their game, and people are bitching about it?
I guess I can't say I'm surprised, but really people? This game is lacking one fundamental factor in videogames; fun. Halo knew how to have tons of fun with itself, that's what made it so great. Now the live team is going to add a harmless, fun feature and it's getting shit on already... I'm disappointed.
When I saw this announcement I was overcome with joy. It's a [b]huge[/b] sign that bungie is starting to remember how to have fun with games again. I can't wait to see what they'll do in the future.

I feel like the main reason people are mad is that they expected bungie to announce a new dlc instead of the sparrow racing. Don't get me wrong, the racing looks like it's a lot of fun but I'd rather have seen a new dlc :(

Bungie could announce private matches 10 new raids 50 new exotics 100 new strikes and whatever else people want and people would still moan and complain. I hate it but also love the passion people have for this game. This sparrow racing looks awesome can't wait till Tuesday

2 RepliesRacing? Really? When so many other fixes to the actual game are wanted/needed? Sorry if I am not overjoyed at an event that has nothing to do with the game/story. I bought a FPS game, not Mario Kart. Maybe they wanted to keep with the Mario theme after making 1/4 of the raid a jumping platformer.

A new dlc was widely talked about and anticipated for example. Instead, they announced a 3 week sparrow racing event. Witch is cool I quess, people have been asking for it after all so, I'm sure they will be fun with it. But this literally could have been announced over a post on the bungie twitter page. So even though it's certainly not a bad thing that sparrow racing is being tested, I understand the disappointment of this announcement.

Because people are starved for actual content in this game and they're adding a 3 week race event with 2 tracks. Looks pretty cool. But when a full DLC gets old in less than a month, this will get old in less than a week.

3 RepliesI can't wait :) think people are jumping to conclusions about the the Everis Trading aspect. If someone wants to pay to customise the look of their sparrow then fair play to them, it's their money. I'm usually critical of bungie but thumbs up to them for this.

2 RepliesI know what is exactly going to happen. I'm going to lose in these races, get super pissed off, and quit. Then come back and do it all over again either in a few hours or the next day. That's whats going to happen. (Well at least for me...)

Kinda funny considering people have always wanted a racing aspect of the game. I used to hear that alot from random players I met on Strikes.
