12 days after Destiny launched, Angry Joe dropped a review which accurately pointed out that Destiny was a cut-content shell of a game.
Not only that, but Bdobbins and some others echoed this truth. They all acknowledge that the gunplay is good but the game itself is crap.
The saddest part of Destiny is that despite these 100% accurate critiques of this "game", the weak-minded continue defending it.
I invite you to consider this. 12 days after launch a respected game reviewer called Bungie out for cutting content so they could sell it as DLC. Fanboys then railed against this opinion, only for the truth to be revealed that content WAS CUT, and eventually to be sold as DLC.
Bear in mind the recent article which revealed that the Dreadnought and Oryx were intended to be the final third of the VANILLA story. That Rasputin and Osiris were meant to be significant characters in the VANILLA game.
Hate on me all you want, but please remember that I am not the one who charged you $120+ for a shell of the game ( which could have been a real game) that should have cost you $60.
It mystifies me that people can be so stupid, but I guess that I am doomed to a life of being mystified. The stupidity of fanboys is apparently never-ending.
Edit: over 500 responses in just a few hours, it seems I've struck a chord. Remember this, people: Activision likes to encourage minors to gamble. If you don't stand against this, you are endorsing it.
Glad to see this has finally petred out. See you all again when the Eververse starts selling things that effect gameplay. Until then, remember this: Activision will consistently provide the least amount of content for maximum amount of profit.

2 RepliesDespite Destiny having huge chunks of cut content there are legitimate reasons for the content being cut, other than "Bungievision is trying to milk our wallets". Several lead writers quit before release which forced large pieces of the story to be cut. They couldn't rework everything into the game before release and they didn't want to push back what was arguably the most anticipated game of 2014. I'm not saying it's right, as a matter of fact it's not. It's bad that they didn't just give us the content free, but they did drastically improve the game and it is enjoyable. That is honestly the only thing that matters to me.

I bought this game for the story. I had no intention of buying the game in 2013 as I thought it would be your everyday MMO with endless grinding. What made me buy this game was my trust in my Xbox friends telling me how great Bungie's Halo games were in both story and gameplay. It deeply saddened me to find that Bungie scrapped the entire story that most likely would have been one of their greatest. And for those of you who don't care, why? Sure it's your money, you should choose how to spend it, but don't you at least want to know if it's worth it? To know what you're buying?

4 RepliesAlways nice to see.people who know nothing about game creation spout nonsense. Yes the mythology and original storyline was there, but was at a physical space actually created at done? It was business. They saw a super cut. Didn't like it and worked their asses of to remake it. Was the end result perfect? No but it was fun to play. Not much story but that was slowly improved on. Taken king did a nice job with that.

Companies will now chop games up and resale bits and parts of them for extra profit because of sheep still buying everything they release, I bet they sit in their offices, see what people say to defend them and just laugh! Either way, Halo 5 is out in 2 days, at least I'll get a full game!

Seriously do people even know how to read? Its been known for a long time that they redid the whole story about year prior to release. The main characters had been flushed out even then. Stuff changed and the game did as well. This is like saying that Lucasfilm held back the story for thirty years to make the Force Awakens.

10 RepliesThere is ea difference between cut and unfinished. Literally every instance of "proof" I have seen just shows unfinished versions of products. Think about it this way: Bungie had already delayed the game 3 times and had under six months to not only write a story that fit (their writer quit) but also finish tons of extra content. It is not happening in a polished form regardless of how hard they worked. To prevent a "Vs 13" moment, they had to release the game
