How about an apology for the Iron Banner "bug" and a reward for those who bothered to rank 5?
I mean c'mon Bungie. "Oh we discovered a bug where loot wasn't dropping"
How about a sorry for all those wasted hours?

Drops were fine. If you didn't get what you wanted then buy it. You get 25 marks for each of the gold bounties.

If you do just the bounties every day and turn your weekly bounties in on Monday..You'll hit rank 5 easily

Got to rank 5 and played some more matches for "fun" to see if anything would drop. I only got 2 marks the whole week. Bought everything else

There must be some who thought/think 'we can't behave in this way'. The 'bug' statement was just embarrassing. By the end of IB I had enjoyed the week of getting all characters to level 5. Yes, the drops were poor in comparison to the last (this was only the second time I participated in IB) but I still had fun and obtained one of my favourite guns (for pvp) out of the experience - Nirwen's Mercy. If Bungie had simply said 'we got it wrong with the drop system and will rectify this for the next IB', instead of blaming a 'bug', I'm sure some players would show more respect than the lack of, they are receiving now.

More like "we purposely made iron banner rewards shit so you'd think you'd be playing to get lots of iron banner gear so you'd play more but now that we're buffing the drop rates in crucible you're going to continue to play, that was our plan all along, to keep you playing our game longer."

6 RepliesI think it'd be more fair for 1 package per rank, since not everyone went all the way to rank 5 (2 of my alts only rank 3) and because most RNG rewards will be "meh... dismantle" anyway.

I'm just not happy that they ended it 2 hours early. I was waiting to buy the guns because I was hoping to get one of them as a drop. I was still playing 2 hours before the reset and planned to buy the guns if nothing dropped for me when there was an hour left. But the event ended 2 hours early with me at Rank 5 and no guns.

An apology would be nice, but a reward I think not and here is why. After the first day of this past IB we had a trickle of posts pointing out the lack of drops. Of course the Desticles responded by questioning how far these players had actually advanced. After the second day, that trickle had turned into a stream of posts, but people still ignored the comments concerning lack of drops. Come the third day and that stream was a mighty flowing river of posts calling out Bungie for the lack of IB drops. So after several days people kept playing despite what was being written. If you chose to ignore the info being passed along that is all on you. I got to level 4 with my Warlock before I said enough was enough.
