Iron Banner's 1st day impressions
So, I've played in every IB since the very first one and this is the only time I will not be able to experience it on the 1st day because of my recently changed work hours so I just wanted to get everyone else's impressions for the 1st day. What's the lag like? What are some of the best rewards you've got? How is the match-making(if playing solo)? Any crazy stories or exciting matches? Any cheaters? Whatever info or stories you guys wanna share cuz like I said.....I'm missing the 1st day but just wanna read some stories from you Guardians.Bad or good, doesn't matter

Really bad lag. The matchmaking still sucks. People quit games and I'm thrown into a game that has no chance of saving. HoS titans everywhere. Conspiracy theory shotguns everywhere along with red death and the vanguard pulse rifle.

Power doesn't matter so you are good at anything 250+ light. Range matter though. Power doesn't.

6 RepliesIts been fun so far. Ive only seen one piece of IB gear drop, it was a 296 cloak for a hunter on my team. In over 20 games that was the only piece that dropped for anyone.

Lag is terrible!! Red bar connections still as bad as ever and off course still come top off leader board not because of their skill simply because their connections are garbage. Also drops are crap to be polite

i like IB, i find it easier than normal crucible, but the rewards for doing it now make it seem a bit pointless. If i rank up i can buy some worse gear than i've got already, what's the point? the fun of doing it will soon fade when the rewards are so rubbish

No Thorn; hallelujah! No lag, but I never had lag... Count me in the minority I guess. Weekly bounties are interesting and pretty achievable... Only issue would be best overall score, might be tough for some to achieve. And the weekly bounties give you legendary marks! Gear at 280 seems blah, but they're still super easy to infuse, so I can't complain. And the legendaries are cheap... might not be Felwinters or Efrideets quality but they're still competitive. And cheap! Overall it's a welcome break from vanilla crucible without delving into the hyper competitive Trials. Fun for the week.

1 ReplyPretty fun and balanced. The maps r mostly small ones so watch out for shotguns and swords. Auto rifles r hitting pretty hard.

Couldn't join a match that we weren't already losing in, the one "fresh" match I got into it was 5 vs 1 and we just danced with the one guy

It's still a lag fest. Other than that, it's nearly identical to the previous events. The bounties are even easier, too, but you only get 3 per day and 3 weeklies.

The equipment is just rubbish and doesn't seem worth the grind anymore atleast last IB you could get etheric light to upgrade your equipment now it's just a few dodgy items on offer
