Black Spindle the new raid "Gjallahorn"?
Already in the raid forums you may have noticed in raid groups saying "must have black spindle" as a requirement. Could we be looking a potential throwback to Crotas End where not having the jellyhorn meant being s.o.l? Spindle the new Gjallahorn? You tell us!

I infused my 310 black spindle into my 100- yard stare, I wanted to use a 310 sniper and ToM and the same time, so it seemed like the thing to do

And would you look at what the bosses are bullet sponges. So if you had a group with bs before the bullet nerf. This raid would be alot quicker They nerf shit to slow us down.....pathetic

Give me a 308-310 1000 yard stare with spray and play. Never have an issue in the raid and usually leading DPS on the boss fights. 310 black spindle is jelly horn? Let's wait until someone finds sleeper simulant to start pointing out new g horns

BS is a waste of an exotic slot. ToM is a raid killer. But any good +295 weapon will do fine, sniper and lmg are best.

Good for golgoroth and the ass fosting death sisters. But shooting oryx doesn't register as critical hits so the raid sniper is better for him.

How can you get it when you need a fireteam of almost 300 to get it?

3 RepliesDon't get me wrong, BS is fantastic... but not necessary.... proof being the raid finished before BS was obtainable... BS and ToM will probably be requirements for hardmode for sure though. I can easily do around 4x the damage of people not using those.

I have a touch of malice which is better than the black spindle. One of the reasons it actually is infinite ammo Another reason is it doesn't require crit shots(oryx doesn't have a crit spot)

It's really not worth the exotic slot in the raid.

Its a fantastic weapon, but any high light level sniper rifle should suffice. ToM on the other hand...that thing is a beast for Sisters and Oryx

5 RepliesIn the raid the raid sniper is better, bonus damage to taken (I notice a pretty big difference) fast rate of fire, high impact, and cocoon which reloads the weapon when stored for like 5 seconds, what I do on Everything, is use my 4 bullets immediately switch to primary and use all of my shots and then immediately switch back to my sniper and it is reloaded, use those and then reload primary, rinse and repeat.

I got rid of my spindle. Infused it to my 1000 yard stare. So worth it.

My raid loadout per section. Beggining of raid through Totems: Righteous VIII(auto rifle) Defiance of Yasmin(sniper) Raze-Lighter(exotic sword) War priest through Golgoroth: Righteous VIII Black Spindle The Variable( FWC Machine gun) Death singers checkpoint (I'm in the middle running support): Touch of Malice Defiance of Yasmin The Smolder rocket launcher Oryx Himself (once again, I'm running support in the middle): Hung Jury scout rifle Defiance of Yasmin Raze Lighter(this thing destroys the knights and the ogres) This is why I love this raid. There's so much loadout variety, a lot of weapons to choose from. Yes, Black Spindle is awesome, but any other sniper would work just as good. The Touch of Malice is my go to weapon for the Deathsingers, but other than that I don't use it.
