3 armour pieces and a helmet engram.
I have 390 strange coins so i now have 6 new helmets.
Why Bungie? Why not make us actually play for our rewards?
Don't tell me to play my own game and not purchase from Xur if it bothers me because realistically why would I put myself at a disadvantage?
TTK is AMAZING.. I just thought the Xur update was an exotic weapon or engram only.. But oh well. This is a casuals game.
Rant over, my Titan got a Taikonaut... Amazing helmet.
DeeJ and I were just funconferring with the Design Team about how Three of Coins is performing in the wild. They are aware that the drop rates are too damn high, but for now this works in your favor. You earned those coins. Have spending them. The Nine may be delighted that you're blowing them all now.
Would be cool if they made Xur spawn in random places for short amounts of time. Like maybe somewhere at the end of mission or quest or something or even somewhere in the wild.

5 Replies> OP complains about Xur ruining the game > OP gets something they wanted from Xur

12 RepliesSo another thread where a player blames Bungie for their own actions.

5 RepliesContradict much? Cries about xur then brags about exotic received from xur.
-
6 RepliesWow just don't go to xur then ? Oh wait wait you want to complain about something stupid huh?

2 RepliesI understand what you're saying, mate. I'm a little disappointed about this myself, but at least there are a nice amount of exotics exclusive to quests. I just wish more of the armor was too. Pretty much all of the armor is up for grabs, but the weapons require work for a good few of them. I hope the 3 of coins only adds a few points of percent for every 1 of the 3 stacks. Like, if the chance for an exotic to drop is 2%, then I hope the 3oC only jumps it from 2 to 3 to 7% for example. That way it does pump it up, but not so much that you're just rolling in exotics by the end of the day especially since you're already free to go to town on the engrams. Also, to people saying that you're hypocrite for buying from Xûr even though you don't technically like the setup, they're clearly misunderstanding. Even if you don't like something, you're gonna utilize it. This goes to many aspects of life, not just the game. Maybe don't label your post "Xûr ruins Destiny" though. That's instantly gonna get you a ton of flack even if people do agree with you.

Don't. Buy. Them.

1 ReplyI assume most people have taken a break from the game at some point since Day 1, therefore most people don't have that kind of stash of strange coins.
-
1 ReplyWhy did you buy them? Have you no will power?? :)
-
When you find blues that are better than exotics......
-
3 RepliesYou ruin the game.
-
1 ReplyLol your dumb ass shouldn't have bought 6
-
5 RepliesNobody forced you to buy anything nubtard, did your parents put your diapers on your face when you were little??
-
1 ReplyDon't buy anything then... Bitch boy.
-
1 ReplyYou spent 390 strange coins on the helm thats your problem not bungies. You made the choice to buy them. I only had enough to get three and i got no new exotics just three masks of the third man which i infused inyo my legendary helm.
-
You have to make a choice, either be put at a disadvantage, or let Xur ruin Destiny. The decision is yours.

2 RepliesEverything is RANDOM. You play the game, grind for the in-game currency, and buy the thing you're missing from a vendor. That's all it is. If your hemorrhoids flare up so badly because of this, I suggest you don't participate in the game. I grinded for months trying desperately to get one Hawkmoon. I finally got it. When I saw that Xbox one players were getting them, my reaction was: congratulations. Grow up, stop whining, and use some preparation H on your ass

6 RepliesIf you want to be a hardcore gamer, you're playing the wrong game. Yes it's fantastic, but if you're looking for gear that drops from accomplishments only play an MMO. Pick one. There's dozens.

1 ReplyAt what point did Bungie force you to do anything?
-
Yeah i really disllike Xur too and I feel that Bungie is doing themselves a disfavor by keeping him around, especially when it didnt take more than a few hours for people to exploit the new three coin buff. "So don't use him". Yeah the problem with that is that a lot of other people will and we've already expereinced a couple of metas where an item pretty much was your ticket in to content. Can you really afford not getting the stuff? What if a certain armor piece proves to be a huge advantage in Pvp or the raid? What if a certain weapon is asked for in every LFG post?

It's gotten to the point where I don't get excited for Xur anymore. He is a nice way to earn exotics every now and then for me. For instance I wanted Obsidian Mind the day I saw it and never got the drop for it. Got it from Xur and I can wear it as a cool helmet now, and upgrade it to year two. However the fact that people have 600+ coins is just ridiculous. I mean if they want to spend all of them and get a bunch of exotics that's totally their choice. I think it would just maybe make the game better if one or two exotics could be bought a week, or only have Xur show up once a month with the ability to only buy 1-2 exotics? Idk I don't think the grind for things should be made any longer then it is but Xur should be exciting not something that people just spam for exotics.

No, people ruin the game for themselves. /thread
-
At least he sells weapons and engrams at different times now.
-
5 RepliesYea, why would you put yourself at a disadvantage? That'd be crazy! However, your argument became completely moot as soon as you gave Xur your coins. "I hate Apple for their ridiculously expensive products." "Look at my new iPhone! It's awesome!" I mean, just......you know?
-
I was under the same impression with the update. I thought xur was only selling one armor piece or one weapon and the two engrams.
-
5 RepliesDude play at your own pace, that's the beauty of the game. No one tells you to spend all your coins and get everything first go around.
