Can we get some good talk about NightStalker?
I just haven't seen too many threads dedicated to the new Nightstalker subclass. How do our seasoned hunters like it? What kinds of perk combinations seem to be most effective? What kind of play styles are coming from it? Likes/dislikes...etc
Personally I'm only half-way through the skill tree but I'm liking it so far.

My favorite thing to do: jump, activate super, switch to rocket launcher in mid-air and wipe a whole mob in one shot. Looks epic.

I played from 25 to 40 since yesterday on my hunter, and I'm absolutely in love with the new subclass. Giving my Warlock a run for its money

I main a titan. I like the night stalker from what I've seen.

I main a warlock and I love it but I still like night stalkers as well. They are extremely helpful for bosses and for protecting people with the smoke grenade

I swap between the latter two grenades, swap between invisibility and poison, I use Blood Bound for mobs and Black Hole for bosses, and I run Keen Scout but have the GF on for Shade Step. Shade step is a must for me, as is keen scout.

I run vanish, blood bound, and shade step. I absolutely love that combo. It's insanely fun and amazing fireteam support, especially when grouped with any combination of Sunbreaker, Stormcaller, or Voidwalker.

Nighstalkers are not to be ignored.

Nighstalker for PvE and PvP (if I'm with clanmates). Gunslinger/Bladedancer for PvP when I'm playing alone.

Great for support but I miss using golden gun for more pew pew. I still use golden gun on a lot of boss fights for a pew pew with celestial nighthawk. Especially for oryx when you need a quick DPS burst.

As a fellow Hunter it hurts to say this but no. You know why? Because everybody is making hunters look bad with all these bitchy and whiny nerf posts about titans.

Not fully unlocked on ps4 so I only have the first half of perks. So far the blood tether, kill tethered enemies makes orbs, and some others I dont recall off hand. Amazing for pve, bossing, orb making, mob clearing. It's all amazing.

I want to switch back to my gunslinger so damn bad, but I just can't bring myself to stop using nightstalker

First tether perk that makes enemies share damage + nova grenade + orbs when killing tethered enemies = win. I use alpha lupi as my armor exotic mainly right now, and I can create so many orbs with this

As a week 1 Hunter I still find myself using Bladedancer and occasionally Gunslinger. I guess I'm self centered :/

1 ReplySo most people have tons of complaints about Nightstalker, as a raid lover I am so glad I finally have a useful support spec, not to destroy enemies, but to generate bonus armor and debuff everything. The courage of the pack buff when at maximum grants as much armor a defense codex, suppressed, slowed majors can't do shit, to top it off with your smoke you can cloak your entire team, pair it with the new double melee gauntlets and you can cloak your entire team a lot. I would say as good as the defender for PvE with a different play style.

I love it. I play more like a ninja than I ever did with my other two subclasses. I use highest agility possible and do the best I can avoiding damage altogether. Ambush tactics are what the Nightstalker excel at. Ahamkara grips give me two smoke melee which comes in handy. In PvE I can revive unseen or hit and run. In pvp I use envenom like a pocket full of sand, helps finish off stubborn enemies that I catch off guard. I prefer blackhole over bloodbound just for the duration. It helps manage mobs and gives the fireteam time to recover and pick off the enemies. Even in pvp I prefer blackhole. Usually to stop those terrifying Sunbreakers from rampaging through my whole team.
