Can we get some good talk about NightStalker?
I just haven't seen too many threads dedicated to the new Nightstalker subclass. How do our seasoned hunters like it? What kinds of perk combinations seem to be most effective? What kind of play styles are coming from it? Likes/dislikes...etc
Personally I'm only half-way through the skill tree but I'm liking it so far.

I actually enjoy using it. I find myself using my super quite often, more so than when I would use bladedancer or gunslinger.

I love the class over every other. Blood bound with light iof the pack for insane orb gen. Black hole to keep a boss lockers down longer (*cough* crota taking sword crits *cough*) Quiver in PvP if you want to be offensive So many options

I like it alot. It makes the hunters a support class with a suoer that helps everyone do max damage to a boss. And the smoke bomb that makes you invis helps alot for getting out of sticky situations or to revive people.

In Pvp it only seems good to use quiver... But in pvp I can run either black hole or bloodbound and my teammates love me

Quiver and lockdown in pvp, blood pact and light of the pack for pve (more for large numbers of smaller tier mobs), and black hole for bosses for maximum time for bonus damage... it can create so many orbs it's crazy at times

I digress...I got infused by the lightning and there is no going back! Destroying everything with electricity is exactly how I want to play. So I'm now a Warlock convert. Also for those that continue to use Nightstalker, please for the love of jeebus [b]USE YOUR SUPER!! [/b]Don't hold that shit the whole strike!! We need the 19,553 orbs you generate so I can super and generate orbs for you to generate orbs for me. Stop treating it like a Sunsinger Warlock with self res.

I use nightstalker a lot as a trapped and get a lot of kills with it despite being a support class, good for pve and great PvP if you use it in the right way

Nightstalker is amazing for pve, and makes lots of orbs. I'm going to stick with bladedancer or gunslinger for pvp though.

7 RepliesI've seen a lot of griping because you can't get kills with it in PvP (which is false), but it [i]is[/i] a support class. Titans and Warlocks have had a support subclass since launch, with hunters having 2 insta-kill subclasses. So I think a lot of the complaining comes from people who main Hunters not knowing how to play support. My brother mains Hunter and he loves it in PvE and PvP.

People really underestimate them. With the circle jerk of the sunbreaker going on, nightstalker gets overlooked...which I'm fine with lol. I've been having a blast with it in pvp

I'm a Titan & absolutely love Night Stalker. Made a Hunter, but don't feel like grinding to get it to 290. Having a Night Stalker on your team is a must.

Night stalker is best pve class, nothing like spawning a ton of orbs.

I'd say having a nightstalker either yourself or in your team against warpriest is essential.

1 ReplyIt's my favorite sub-class so far. Love the smoke bomb more than anything. I never melee, so it's nice to have my Strength actually matter.
