The Nolan North Ghost voice is a train wreck!!
First off let me explain myself! I'm not bashing Nolan North as an artist here! He has a long history of voice over work and I'm sure he's done a fabulous job along the way, but the voice of the ghost in Destiny couldn't be read worse!!! I am bashing the way he has read this part for sure!! It is almost like he is reading for a Nick Jr. show or some preschool children's listen and learn dvd!! "Here we go little kiddies..." I have yet to run across someone that disagrees with this while in game play!!
Bungie, you dropped the ball on this part of the game!! If everything else was perfect, and it's not, the ghost voice alone will make a few people stop playing! Look, business is business and I know there were things behind the scenes that made this horrible decision take place, but even if North was the last person on earth to read the part, MAKE HIM READ IT A LITTLE MORE MANLY AND WITH SOME EMPHASIS THAT SAYS WE ARE IN AN ADVENTURE GAME, NOT A BAD RERUN OF MR. ROGERS!!
It's not even laughable, but it sure is a joke!!!

His voice eventually grew on me. He's got somewhat a C-3PO vibe.

I remember when i was like you Wandering the ps4 playstation store looking at all the thing i could buy But i was waiting for my download for update 2.0 to finish I was excited, and happy because dinklage did have he perfect voice for the ghost but nathan drake will do. It downloaded I went in and saw all the new things went to the tower and looked around I decided its time to hear the voice of nolan north. I went to go to were one of the most memorable quotes was "weve awoken the hive" And then it happened His voice was worse than soloing crota as a titan It was disgusting Horrible It was like a kindergarten teacher trying to speak nicely to their kids I began to slowly go into a deep pit of despair I want morgan freeman now

i agree and actually i think dinklage was perfect for the ghost voice and if they are going to stick with north(which i hope they don't) at least make him read it a little more manly otherwise it sounds stupid

3 Repliesits fine, everyone did this at 1st with "dinklebot" now people are doing with nolan's take on the roll. the voice is fine, it was before they changed it, its fine now after they changed it. is it amazing? no, but it will do. would do everyone good to stop getting themselves so tore up and whipped into a frenzy over something so pointless. best either get used to it or start ignoring it entirely cause we got it for quite a while.

New ghost voice is way too high pitch. Bit of a gaybot. Maybe they should have got Siri to do the voice? Dinklebot was mush better. I agree the expression in his voice was not consistent but it is much better than Nolan. #RIPDinklebot

2 RepliesHe's way to excited sounding. I was playing summoning pits strike and when he says "we're getting closer" he sounds like a toddler about to get to the candy shop. He doesn't have a bad voice but his tone is awful.

Not because being gay is offensive but it's just ridiculous. It's as bad as Chinese aliens in the Trade Federation, Transformers with beards and gold teeth, and aliens playing jazz in a space bar. It's insulting to our intelligence. It also takes any seriousness out of every mission. Is this a scifi game or a SpaceBalls parody??

2 RepliesIt's not the actor so much as it is the script. It's bland and boring. The way they explain and describe things in this game is what you hate, not so much the voice actor. But it does sound like he's reading off of a torn piece of cardboard begging passerbys for food and shelter. I feel sorry for north. It's like they put a drill to the back of his head and scrambled his brains right before they started recording

Everything sounds like a surprised, intimidated adolescent moving scared through an unfamiliar world! This Ghost is supposed to be our guide, remember? It should be a more confident, determined, DEEPER voice!!! Even a robotic voice would be better then this!
