Is anyone upset about this?
I'm not as effected by it seeing that I just proudly Xürned it last week, but it's still a disappointment.
Thoughts? I am aware that Ghorn isn't the only thing moving on.

1 ReplyI'm honestly fine with it. Inwould be ok with Thorn, TLW, and gjallarhorn being left behind forever. No matter what they do, I think these three weapons will always be better than everything else
-
I think they should but it kinda sucks that the sold it a few weeks before TTK.
-
I am not bothered by this. I have done without one all this time and it wont bother me in the slightest. I bought a couple when xur sold them last week but to be honest I don't see why people make such a fuss about them. No doubt all the Gjally fanboys will be upset by this but I am not impressed.

Edited by wrightflyer_1903: 8/21/2015 11:24:50 AMBut it'll still be available in year 2 just at 180 (current 365) level. The point is that there'll now be "better" weapons to chase after. Let's face it the driving force for many in end game content is "can I get exotic X", now it will "can I get exotic Y" instead. If the entire game was always about whether you have G'horn or not wouldn't it just get a bit boring over time? One point I think many people are overlooking is that they said that the rewards you get from drops/engrams/whatever are going to take account of what you have in your inventory. So instead of getting seven SUROS Regime in a row when all you really wanted was a Gjallarhorn now you might get SUROS the first time, but something different the next time and so on. If you exhaust the loot table you'll eventually get everything won't you? So this "I played 1300 hours from day one and still haven't got G'horn" stuff should go away. So the more you play the better the collection of guns you will have and inevitably you'll have all the good ones, whatever the next "Red Death" or "Gjallarhorn" or whatever turns out to be. I guess there are still going to be ones only available in "quests" - like current exotic bounties and I suppose there'll only be the one way to get access to those - hopefully (unlike Thorn) there won't be a "must have" amongst themthat's close to impossible to get. They didnt say but I wonder if the implcation of them checking your inventory so you don't get duplicates will apply the equivalent of exotic bounties too? At least then you won't be offered SGA 50 times when you are only realy holding out for Pocket Inifinity or whatever!

Ever realize that all the weapons considered op are vanilla? I mean, bungie hasn't delivered in the past on better exotics, I hope they do like they are saying and do it this time
-
I got my first one in June after playing since September. I was bummed about the nerf at first and also it being left behind. But what will we be missing out on? Shooting Crota with it for the 100th time? No biggie.
-
Frankly it was getting boring to have to always use it. I'm glad its going but also sort of sad it is...just like the beta.
-
Im ok with it. My truth and thunderlord will do
-
Good, people have been wielding it as a crutch for a year already. Move on people, your legs are all better now
-
Hahahahahaha that's what I think about it. It's the funniest shite ever. So many people butting their pants because Xur finally sold the horn again only to find that it's not advancing in a few weeks. I'm laughing so hard. Thank god I bought it week 2. That gave me a whole year to enjoy it.
-
Couldn't care less
-
3 RepliesDude there will be better guns in the next DLC so don't cry over
-
Not bothered, no more shoot gally at it until it dies technique
-
It's kind of aggrivating, seeing how I'll only get to use it for a month really. I didn't even xurned it either, I got it from a gorgon chest 2 days before.

People complain about bullet sponge bosses, so Bungie design bosses with cool new mechanics (eg Qodron, Skolas) to make the fights interesting. Instead people bypass these boss mechanics with Gjallarhorn and burn the boss down as quickly as possible. See the problem here? Gjallarhorn is massively OP and Bungie would have to design every boss fight from now until the end of the game around an OP weapon from year 1. It needs to die for the good of the game.
-
Don't worry. In the future you might see in LFG: "MUST HAVE SLEEPER SIMULANT" or somewhere along those lines :')

Very happy New weapons hoooooooooooo
-
I think it's great! Don't get me wrong- I love my gjally, but I've been using it since February or March.
-
People cling to the gally, like children cling to their blankie
-
Imagine your Bungie and you made a new suite of cool exotic heavys and everybody still just used Gjallerhorn. I think in time they will bring it up. When they are ready to.
-
Gjallarhorn*
-
Will be a new gally for sure.
-
The rivers of salty tears tastes delicious!
-
Since our sold it I'm actually content that it isn't being carried over

Personally, I'm confused. I mean why nerf a weapon if its not even going to continue into year two? Because people will use it in crucible or old raid? No. Because they'll be use the next broken Exotics as replacements... Honestly this was thier best opportunity to change the weapon to the way they wanted it to work in 2.0. I'm surprised they didn't... So yeah really confused.
