Pride shader!
So I've brought this up before and I'll do it now because of the voting that happened today, Bungie should put out a pride shader to celebrate this historic day in history!
Edit: Mr Magpie suggested a cloak/bond/ mark. I think that's an even better idea!

However, as many others have said, I'd be against a "Pride" shader due to my belief that it should not be emphasized moreso than other social groups. If we are to treat homosexuality as an equality trait, then homosexuals must be treated the same as others. If a "Pride" shader was introduced, then an imbalance and further controversy would follow. Why don't different races get a shader? Why don't feminists get their own shader? Why don't heterosexuals get their own shader?

3 RepliesA rainbow shader in itself is not a bad idea, but to introduce it for the sake of taking a social/political stance will most definitely cause upset. I see video games as fun places where everyone can come together, regardless of their orientation, race, or religion, and get away from these real-life issues for at least a little while.

5 RepliesWhat "voting" are you even talking about? There was no voting. It was a ruling by the Supreme Court, not a vote. In fact, when the American people vote on gay marriage rights within their own states, it is usually a failed measure.

I thought that all they wanted was to be equal, but by giving special treatment you aren't equal anymore, you're favored. In that case I want a shader or emblem or mark that specifically states that I am 100% straight. It will also express my political views and my stance on the education system.

3 RepliesIt's not historic. It's just another day in politics. You want a shader for it, go buy some crayons. And before anybody says anything, I don't care who you marry. But, this issue is no more important than others. My son's autistic, can we have a shader? How about cancer, heart disease, legalized marijuana, subtle changes in the transportation code allowing single vehicles in the car pool lane, two for one specials, etc. I'm glad you're happy. But you are NOT special.
