Edit: thanks for the support! If you want bungie to pay attention to this, continue to bump it, you guys keep it at the top, I'll keep the content coming. Please leave your own ideas as well!
We all know Destiny, oh yes we do, the grinding; the RNG, the flop of a story, the crucible of thorns... But destiny is such a great platform, a base. It has so much potential it could become legend. Today I wish to share my thoughts on what can be added/changed in the game to improve it.
Currently I have finished typing up about 5/6th of what I intend to. So watch this space!
I'm going to format this in such a way as to make debate easy, the post will act as a table of contents and an intro, I will write all of my thoughts in categories - as comments to this post. I will link them to the post and you can read what you want and ignore what you don't. To discuss a particular subject please comment on my comment to keep it
My goal is to flesh out one idea of mine a day, so let's get this started - up first:

3 RepliesHere's my raid idea for cabal even though bungie won't even consider it, probably. It would be called "fall of command" and the description would be "the head commander of the cabal awaits you in the deep canyons of Mars" The raid starts out on the meridian bay where you have to activate a cabal single and call one of their ships to you. The cabal will try to stop you and will send heavy reinforcements to defend against you, after holding the signal long enough, the ship will come and all teammates will board the ship and fly to the canyons. When the canyon is reached, the players will see a large base ahead and a long pathway to get to it. Once they pass through the pathway of death, they will get inside. Once inside, the players will see three control panels that they must activate, when they are active, the cabal will start coming, if one is overrun by cabal, it will override the other panels and the players will die, if one panel is left, it will deactivate and begin to kill anyone who touched it. After all 3 are finished, 3 unique psion flayers will appear. The players must kill the psions, when each one dies, they drop an orb of power. Three players will pick up these orbs and it will make them slightly more powerful and able to complete tasks, but it will also weaken them to certain things. A new colossus type will then spawn with a shield that can only be taken down by the players with the power. They must be defended from other psions though because they can't hurt them and take extra damage. Three colossi that spawn must have their shields taken down, then all players attack, when all three die, the next door opens. The next part is an open area with gaps preventing players from getting to the other side of the base, there will be buildings that will bring down bridges to close the gaps and allow players to cross, but a sandstorm will kick up before players get a view of where to go, the sandstorm will slow them down and make it so they can't see very far, some reinforcements will be out in the storm while others are inside the buildings. When the players make it to each building, they must clear it out and lower parts of the bridge. After lowering each bridge piece, the players will cross the bridge in the sandstorm while being attacked, afterwards, they will make it inside the next part. The next part is a large arena with cabal guarding the area. They will attack as a psion flayer will spawn and try to make it to a switch, if the psion makes it before your team kills it, everyone dies. If they kill the psion, one player will pick up the power and use it to kill colossi that will spawn with the unique shields, after they are killed, the player with the power must force a door open with their power while the others protect that player, when the door is opened, the commander of the cabal in the solar system will come out. The next part is where the players meet the main boss. He has a buttload of health. The boss will have rockets in his back like a colossus, but his will track aggressively and slow down enemies that are hit severely. There will be two control panels on each side of the room that are covered and protected against the boss. When both panels are activated, it stops the boss from using his rockets, but he cannot take any damage because he gains a unique shield that can only be taken down by players with psion power. Another psion will spawn and must be killed before it reaches the same switch and kills everyone. When the psion is killed, one player takes the power and uses it on the boss, when his shield goes down, he cannot use rockets and loses armor for a certain amount of time. The players then will come out and attack the boss. While the players are inside the rooms, cabal will also go inside and attack. If the boss is not killed fast enough and enrages, he will send more than one psion flayer to flip the switch. Please tell me if there is anything I should add or change

9 RepliesEdited by ValiantBlu: 8/2/2015 4:00:16 AMEasy fix for most of these Stop supporting last gen consoles and utilize the full potential of current gen Ps4 and xb1 have been out for almost 2 years now If you haven't upgraded its time to get left behind. It's not current gen/next gen anymore, I didn't buy a PS4 so I could continue playing PS3 games, developers catering to last gen consoles are making worse games, you have to split your team among twice as many consoles and, especially in the case of destiny, you can only make a game as good as the last generation will allow I'm pretty upset that TTK is being released for last gen because that means that we are still getting held back by people who can't afford to upgrade or refuse, so stop giving people a reason to not save their money or refuse to upgrade, because why would you buy a ps4 or xb1 when you can have the exact same experience on your last gen system, albeit with a slower framerate After TTK all future destiny expansions and games should be current gen only. Build a huge open world, add tons of content, show it off at the next e3 or a podcast even and watch people sell their first borns to pick up a new console and enjoy destiny in a way they never could on their old consoles. You got them hooked with The Taken King right? You think people are just going to be like "yeah 3 months as my stormcaller is enough when I just spent a year on my original warlcock?" They'll upgrade or they'll save up and upgrade as soon as possible because even if this game isn't always fun it's about as addictive as crack. Induce a withdrawal and Sony and Microsoft will let you do whatever you want with their consoles. Hell, you'll make enough to buy out your own contract with activision, self-publish, and have full creative freedom tl;dr Not to be mean but it's time to leave last gen consoles behind

I've posted my ideas in smaller posts, but I'll post them here as well to spread them around a bit. There are a couple of things I'd like in the future. Mainly larger landscapes to explore. The game doesn't really satisfy my desire to explore and discover. Then there's a couple of things I'd like them to add to these larger areas: Discovered exotic bounties- Imagine exploring an old facility in an abandoned region of old russia that is full of enemies. You kill those enemies and one of them drops an item used to start an exotic bounty for a cool new weapon. You then go on a large, challenging, adventure to multiple areas to learn the story behind this weapon and how to find it. Planetary invasions- Just like weekly pvp events, what if there were planetary invasions that take place on a random planet during weekends? A random enemy race would constantly invade human colonies and fortresses and try to take control of all areas. Players would need to defend these areas or lose them until the next weekend. If players are successful in defending, a world boss will appear on the last day of the invasion weekend and players would need to group up and fight it. These world bosses would drop legendary loot with a chance at dropping an exotic or exotic bounty. Fortresses and outposts- then there's fortresses and outposts that are constantly being attacked by enemies of different races during weekend invasions. Players need to defend these fortresses or else lose them to the enemy. Then there would be events where players attempt to reclaim these fortress' for their faction. Which I will get into now... Faction wars- they need to bring back the idea of faction wars. But have it dictate how players react to each other out in the world. If a player is a different faction to another player, they are free to attack that player and can obtain random loot from them. Players can also claim fortress' for their faction and can begin a faction war in that region where players of a different faction can group up and lay siege to the fortress to take it for their own faction. Any players who do not wish to participate in faction wars can simply mark themselves as independent and not fight for a specific faction(But there will be a cooldown so players can't constantly switch between marked and unmarked) Vehicle tokens- I think vehicles can be more useful and I think with the ideas I posted here, they can be very useful for invasions and faction wars. Players can spawn vehicles using vehicle tokens they can purchase at the tower, but they are expensive and have a large cooldown so they need to be used responsibly. Vehicles would include tanks, armored carriers, weaponized speeders, etc. There are many other ideas I have for the game, but these are the bigger things I hope to see in the future.

Helping Lakamiller1622 spread the word to everyone on how to cheat on ps4. Fix your shit Bungie!! You guys are quick to nerf weapons but won't fix your actual broken game. I'm sick of running into cheaters in ToO week after week and you guys not doing anything. So here it goes:
Bungie, I hope you are happy for not acknowledging any of this info. Just a simple menu edit. All you have to do is go into your playstation network setting and change your MTU setting from a range of 800-1000. This is how people have been lagging in ToO by capturing zones. BTW bungie, Please acknowledge the thorn weapon swap. I hope ToO will be a better game after you patch these two issues. If you have read this please advise from doing this. The game is not fun this way. Cheers on a great year though! Edit: I did a poll..400+ users said expose it. I hope this makes bungie patch it for a better gameplay. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/142156297 Retweet this: https://twitter.com/lakamiller1622/status/625801518428626944
The word is out Bungie, so now you have no choice but to fix this broken game ASAP!!
