Edited by Tonester: 6/19/2015 12:20:53 PMI see 3 main balance issues in Crucible: - not enough compelling choices for viable weapons or loadouts - the weapons that are viable kill too quickly - too many 1-hit / panic deaths Auto Rifles and Scout Rifles, believe it or not, actually feel like good TTKs to me. Hovering around that 1 sec Mark. Exotic Hand Cannons and a class of Pulse Rifles feel too quick... in that .5 to .7 sec range. I think those need to be brought closer to the .7 to .9 range, imo. I hate 1 hit kills but instead of knee jerk reactions to supers... start with something more subtle: - remove tracking from rockets in PvP - give some visual indicator to an enemy when they have enough energy for super

5 RepliesI love Hand cannons but they are OP man. If you lower damage & make them fire hairs of seconds faster could that even out? I know a lot of ppl want to see balance but...who has the solution?

1 ReplyI refuse to use handcannons. They are dumb although I own probably all of them. I rock a scout rifle with explosive rounds and full auto. Seems to counter the thorn db's just fine

If the whole team is using it as a crutch, I show them what Thorn is in an experienced players hands. Get a lot of quit outs that way. But

2 RepliesIt's sad that people use those crutch weapons in vanilla pvp. I mean, IB and trials I understand, but cmon.. using thorn in regular control. That's pathetic. I'm having a blast using different weapons such as revelator and spare change. But when I come against a 6 man team of thorns and last words, I just back out. It's not worth the headache.

Maybe just a filter that would allow you to chose what the highest level gear and armor for the match will be 2) no over shields. That would decrease the TTK for everyone and might help people to diversify their weapon choices again without falling into the balancing act of balancing

Actually if you are good enough you can manage with white weapons and still get good over kd of 2, most people just think weapons are everything in this game but they really are not. They just help.

7 RepliesIf you face me in the Crucible, you will be going against MIDA, Party crasher/Felwinter & an Ash Factory/HMG. I go against those all the time and do just fine, I do worse using Thorn when completing the hand cannon bounty. I agree that Thorn usage has become an epidemic, but I also believe that if you are a skilled PvP player then you should be able to overcome a Thorn more times than not.

27 RepliesThis is ridiculous people are just pissed of case there not as good and can't compete with people sh!t I played crucible level 1-20 on a new hunter with bad ally straight default weapons never going past blues rares and have a solid 1.7 kd just because you don't know how to counter these weapons and just don't get better shouldn't be anybody else's problem but your own just play and get better that's what I did when I first started playing I thought the same things this is so unbalanced and these weapons are over powered blah blah blah blah but by playing you learn to get better just stop complaining put in the hours and stop looking for something to pin your inability to play effectively on

3 Repliesi blame the radar. turns most fights into duels in which case the stronger gun is going to win assuming both players are decent enough. only thing that needs to be buffed is auto rifles, nothing really needs a nerf.

5 RepliesLook at the real problem: Maps that almost all force CQC Nerfing weapons has made things worse. Name a map where any of the op mentioned load outs are a bad choice, maybe not best but not bad. There should be map variety that encourages frequent weapon and gear changes, not just put on 3 weapons and a set of armor to use practically every game because it will work good enough on just about every map.
