Ive mained a warlock since i picked up the game and ive noticed a huge shift in how this class is played. When i started i only saw sef rez locks in VoG hard and nightfall and now their everywhere. Its like people have forgotten how to use this class to the fullest. Running roc strikes today and had 2 other warlocks with me that never used their supers even though i was dropping 6 to 8 orbs every 30 seconds. Are most warlocks so afraid of dying they have to use a crutch all the time anymore?

I didn't even consider switching to sunsinger for this week's nightfall. If it's solar burn only, obviously I'll use sunsinger. But more often than not I'm using voidwalker. What drives me insane is people using sunsinger on VoG. Nova bomb takes out hordes of enemies and drops orbs like crazy. Not to mention those pesky minotaurs get -blam!-ed up with your void abilities. If on Atheon you get teleported and don't pick up the relic, toss a nova bomb considering as soon as you kill that last Oracle and get times vengeance your super refills. That goes for every class. Drop your bubble inside, you'll have one when you get out. Kill oracles with your golden gun, you'll have another for supplicants if not teleported the next time.

1 ReplyVoidwalker - Crota's End Lamps or Void Burn only NF/Weeklies Fireborn - Select parts of raids (ie, running Relic on Templar, solo Gatekeeper portal, whole Atheon fight), select Nightfalls (ie, Nexus from up top) Radiant Skin - PvP and everything else not mentioned above
-
Void walker is more fun for me. Self res is a crutch.
-
2 RepliesHell no. Void walker for life. Well most of the time. Like %75 of the time cause there are night falls and raids I have use it for.
-
Agreed. I only use Sunsinger for Nightfalls and hard VoG. Voidwalker is definitely the more fun subclass, and with Obsidian Mind it's non-stop purple vaporization.
-
Voidwalker 95% of the time. I feel your pain.
-
Who cares if they drop orbs or not? Learn how to aim a weapon and gain a super
-
Yes they are
-
Not in the crucible, that's for sure. All the ones there rely on Nova "panic" bomb and/or the fusion/axion bolt grenades.

Edited by Hazlett34: 4/30/2015 10:33:52 PMLol after reading all these posts I got to say those of you that use self-res instead voidwalker in normal or hard raid.....Shame on you Just kidding i used it also but very rarely

A couple months ago I was running VoG on Templar and everyone were sun singers and I was a void walker, and I died last.
-
Sunsinger radiant skin ftw. I like playing my hunter too much :b

3 RepliesEdited by a clumsy scrub: 4/30/2015 8:48:27 PMThose with fear in their hearts gathered beneath the wings of the pheonix for protection from the darkness. Those who embrace the pheonix beyond its protection and those who walk in the void cannot be distinguished when standing amongst those who fear death. Unless a storm is overhead, in which the pheonix shines bright through the guardian, and the walkers of the void shatter reality. All while the afraid cower beneath the wings.

My issue was I was always (and still today) getting gear for the other two classes by a large margin. I can't get rolls with that character. So I built the other two and they had loads of gear before level 20.

I feel you. I switched to void walker after nearly 100 hours logged on sun singer, not even maxed out void walker now I refuse to use sunsinger unless it's nightfall. only then do I play it safe and hold back. praying for obsidian mind
-
I run Voidwalker 9 times out of 10 it's more fun and you actually use your super
-
3 RepliesI suffer from the self rez syndrome... I always run it just in case. I would however like to change things up a bit and start blowing more stuff up. What would be a good sunsinger spec to run instead? I know the voidwalker one, but see a lot of people have a lot of success with sunsinger.
-
Huh. In roc strikes I use obsidian mind and bad juju and nova bomb spam. I think it's way more fun.
-
It's sad that I see this quite often. Hardly any of them use their super for anything other than Fireborn. In a ROC strike of all things! Why would you not use Radiant Skin, which is more beneficial? They've become far too dependent on it. I hate using Fireborn, and will only use it where it's actually needed. Most times, Radiant Skin and Flame Shield are adequate.
-
I don't like using radiance. I feel like a scrub when I use it so I just use radiant skin
-
I always activate my super for orbs. In strikes, I use double fire bolt grenade. and toss them randomly aroundenemies
-
Warlock was my first char and I am a Christmas noob. I admit that for a long time, I almost always used fireborn. Now I almost never do. On Nightfalls pretty much. I realized I was wasting damage not using it. Now I normally run song of flame or radiant skin.

All I see is Nova Panic voidwalkers in Crucible... Worse then fist of panic if you ask me.
-
warlock .. roc strikes? Obsidian mind and nova bombs! if valus...then oh well, snipe till next strike ;)

OBSIDIAN MINDED NERDS WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
