Trials For Hardcores Only?
What is your opinion on this?
They announced no matchmaking so you will have to go in with a premade fireteam. This is the biggest reason so many people have not raided and is definitely a huge barrier.
Will you form a team and try ToO or is it just not for you?
Would like to hear from the casual players as we already know all the PVP addicts have a raging Gjallarboner for this.

Being the way ToO going to work it's really not for random teams. Join a match made team n half way in a match someone drops out because whatever reason n then you lose the game n that could be the end of your run in ToO for that week. N that would suck. I suck at PvP but I'll be join some friends to have a go.

I don't know about being a casual but I'm usually PvE, and I'm excited for ToO. I'm glad there's no MM. Not that I would use it since I'm in a clan but I don't want the experience to have a chance of being watered down because a group of randoms can't work together. It does suck for people that want MM but either try to solo it or just post a quick message and get a team.

I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore player, but I did try to get a lot out of the endgame PvE content. I only played Crucible long enough to get the trophies. I'm going to pass on Trials and probably the horde mode thing too. Might be back for the next dlc.

I, for one, am pretty terrible at Destiny's PVP for whatever reason. I still like to get into it once in awhile for a change of pace though. Luckily I have friends who put up with me treading water in the Crucible so I'll try ToO and see how it goes.

2 RepliesIt's not made for "hardcores" only I'd say it's made for team players who can work well in their group This game mode has too much at stake to risk playing with randoms that 1. will be too low of a level, 2. wont use their mics or 3. purely suck Think of it as though it is just a Raid designed using PvP

I don't mind there being a mode for players who enjoy frustration But, I hope Bungie likes empty TOO lobbies , especially after Blops3 comes out. If they thought getting people to raid was difficult, even raiders will avoid this.

3 RepliesI don't understand why everyone is complaining about this. They told us trials was going to be a highly competitive game mode. Of course it's going to be hard and only reward players that are good. Instead of being all "Welp, I don't have a _._ kd guess I can't play this game mode, thanks bungie" why don't you just do what all of the other "good" players do and actually make an effort to get better at crucible. There are plenty of people on youTube and other sources that have great tips and tricks that you can pick up. Start watching the good streamers and pay attention to the way they play. You can learn a lot about map control and how to use/play against different playstyles by watching skilled players. Not everyone is going to be a crucible God and that's okay. You can still get better and be competitive. I also don't quite understand why so many are complaining about trials not having match making. I understand that getting kicked from a team because you don't meet their requirements is frustrating, but not everyone is a dick on LFG. Besides, the people with KDs greater than 2.0 make up like 1% of the destiny player base. I'm sure the other 99% who don't have that kd wouldn't mind playing with you.

Which is why it's probably considered more competitive, or "hardcore." I'll definitely try it out. Although, I'm not looking forward to searching LFG sites only to see that everyone is requiring a 2.0 K/DR to join them.

2 RepliesI plan on going in solo and afk'ing or just running around to get random rewards. Until there's matchmaking, this isn't for me. But the gear is cool... so there's that. If I use lfg to find some teammates to run the raid, that's one thing. To have to use lfg for 15 minutes to play a 10 minute game, and repeat that over and over? Forget it. I'd rather play the game, than spend time on websites that are basically doing what in game matchmaking would do anyway.

I see this as a new weekend, weekly ironbanner with new gear and events mechanics. I would of liked it to be no radar with matchmaking but hey we'll see how it pans out.

I'm not a huge PVPer. After watching how the games run, it looks super intense, and I'll start working on "gitting gud" at the Crucible and find a team to "git gud" with as well. I have no problem with the best of the best getting the gear. The gear is so sweet looking, it lends itself to the idea of building your own legend through the gear.

I haven't played much PvP on destiny but I'll definitely have a team together for ToO the gear looks amazing, PoE tue/wed/thur and ToO on the weekends, I may not be very good but with team work and good communication anyone can win.

4 RepliesI truly don't know why they won't put a option to find ransoms. 90% of the time I raid I post on forms looking for randoms so what's the difference other than I wasted 10 15 mins putting together a group. Smh

I was initially very pissed about this. But then I decided this is end game content it's ment to be boild. By having to get organised you up level play instantly. That extra layer effort. Instantly filters out trolls and a holes and ensures everyone is miced and ready to go. Iv see lots of teams from the casual croud allready spring up for this... so my view is this could end up being a good fun challenge if your willing to put the effort in ☺

11 RepliesIt's the same mindset as raids. But this is the pvp equivalent that only pve players have had since launch. I think this is an awesome step in the right direction by bungie as it caters to the hard core pvp players that have been kept in the dark for so long with nothing except the iron banner. Now to those players who complain about no matchmaking for raids, the same concept applies with trials. you don't want a scrub who can't do confluxes. Now with trials, you don't want a scrub with a negative kd :)

Id be a bit disappointed im not great in crucible but ive had my days where i have done well and i want to be able to get the new exotic which last time i read can only be obtained through the bounty which is all abou the trials

lol Brilliant... First people whined for Matchmaking in Raids, now they complain about having to find TWO people for Trials of Osiris! So, by your own account, anyone with two other friends that actually PvP together is what, hardcore? Good Gods i despair at these forums...

Watching the Feed was good entertainment (spoilt by Deej's jacket - I spent 10 minutes trying to fix my monitor before I realised that was what it really looked like). I think a lot of people will try ToO to start with but the blink shottie crowd will realise that only one tactic won't carry them and then ToO will turn into an elitist event with any other teams just becoming cannon fodder. You may get lucky a few times and get matched against weak teams, but it will be the elites that rule and no one will want to have you in the team unless you are lvl 34 with maxed weapons Note: I know my PvP stats are crap - if I wanted PvP I would play CoD. I only play PvP to complete exotic weapon bounties. I may spend the first week of HoW launch doing the Thorn bounty while everyone else is in the Reef
