What is your most prized weapon and why?
The weapon need not be one the Destiny community at large considers to be one the of the better weapons in the game but rather one you like the most. Since I asked the question I will answer first:
My most prized weapon is "Hard-light" now before you all moan and groan yourselves to death, I acknowledge this is not amongst the top ten weapons in the game but based on my play style I think the weapon is very underrated. The real reason I treasure this weapon so much is that I wanted it from the first time I learned of it (Probably a week after it was released). Months of play and countless drops and no luck. About six weeks ago doing the NF with my sons and after completion I stated, "And now finally I get Hard-Light." Well guess what I got? Of course that shine was diminished a little when the following weekend Xur had it for sale lol.

1 ReplyNecrocasm - Last exotic I needed to finish my collection before HoW came out. Best thing is people who dont got a husk to get a necrocasm are basically screwed cuz its now harder to get a husk now than it used to be

Got lucky on an Longbow as I was decoding engrams when HoW released Arc Double down Snapshot/AP/stability Firefly Either shortgaze or ambush

I kept it because it had Outlaw and Firefly, plus a decent sight or two (this was before reforging was an option). I started using it and really felt like it was a good match for me, I never felt like I was pulling the trigger faster than it could fire, I never thought the reload took too long nor the mag too small, I could reliably hit anything I aimed at no matter the distance and it had a balance I just hadn't found before. I keep it now because it's been through too much; I held it when I killed the Heart of Darkness, I watched Aethon crumble through its sight, I kept it by my side when Crota fell and when the feral Wolves were brought to heel, on top of all that it has been my companion for hundreds of patrols across Earth, the Moon, Mars and Venus I hope I don't have to vault a weapon I have grown to love so much, it is just too important to me.

My LDR 5001, got it from a vanguard package with ambush sight, rodeo, field scout and final round. Either that or my SWARM
