Yer it has been well documented.
This game was going to have massive content.
Activision have made BUNGIE carve up the game and put the content into DLC,s.
That is why so much of the story and content does not add up to a common theme.
The original ghost slots were supposed to be the development of the ghost as you went through the story,"the nine steps of the ghost" but this was omitted when the new destiny roadmap was developed.
Don't be surprised if light level is removed to your ghost and to gain higher light level,you need to upgrade your ghost.

I know that it was cut and I know that the game didn't get released in full. But the one thing Bungie has not touch up on at all, since the game came out, is when Ghost Shells will happen. I'm not sitting here complaining. I'm demanding an answer! And hoping others demand loud enough with me too!

I Thinck it's more of a case of wait and see what comes out because they do not have a roadmap beyond destiny2. They have some content they need to fill in the current format,like your additional ghost slots to put the game on a solid foundation. I pray they build a game,not try to squeeze as much money out of its players with minimum quality development..but with a solid story and content that keeps us infused. My opinion anyway. .
