He CONVINCED the kid that he knew a special 'cheat', and the kid was interested in what it was. 2) He is an 11 year old kid. No that doesn't mean he shouldn't be playing the game, I can bet every single person on this forum has been playing games that are rated above their age, for as long as they have been playing games, so stfu. Are you -blam!-ing kidding me? I would take a guess and say that there is not one single person in this community who hasn't cheesed AT LEAST ONCE. Cheesing is cheating. Also, if there WAS an easy cheat that gave you guys some kind of advantage, you would do it. There is one good thing to come out of this whole bullshit. I have now muted a few hundred people on this forum who defended that piece of shit guy. No proof other than his word that he is getting it. The rest was just re gotten through doing raids over and over again because many groups willingly helped him max out his toon and do the raids to get his gear back.

2 RepliesThe way I see it. The kid learnt a valuable life lesson at probably the best possible age. If the kid is a fighter he will remake those characters again without a problem and most likely faster with his current game knowledge. I've played many mmo's and games etc. One thing is constant though, one day those hard earned gears and hard built characters will be forgotten. You care now that this happened but in 2, 3 maybe 5 years time all you will have is a screen shot and memories and that's it.

How about the bottom line. Supposedly the kid will get the new exotic weapon as a retribution for what he went through. If this is true then what bungie has said about deleted accounts and deleted gear and equipment is not true.

Can we just drop this whole topic. Both parties were stupid, it really doesn't affect any of us. I don't care if he get a special gun that he can shoot a couple hours after school. Yes I agree with the fact that the kid was stupid, but the damage has been done, opinions have been expressed, punishments/compensations handed out. End of story. Bungie isn't going to read all this and decide to take the gun away from the kid because all the sudden they would be the bad guys. It's just time to move on.

I hear ya on this but pay attention to the video it was a glitch to level to 20 the guy who conned him was lower and scammed him to help. I'm not justifying it but if he pushed his friend out of a tree and he died he would not be facing murder charges cuz he is 11
