Can someone explain to me while low levels continue to play iron banner. I'm talking 29 and below. Is it fun to go 0.19 kd every match? What's the point? You are just messing the game up for all the people who want to play a legit game. Especially if you want to level up to buy gear. Essentially you are useless and a huge crutch for the team trying to carry you.
So if you are under level 30 please stay out.
Am I alone on this?
Edit: I am aware that there are some highly skilled lower level players out there, the exception.
Come on, you trying to tell me a highly skilled 25 can take out mediocre 32s. Too common are these low level players with kds of 0.19. Those ppl need to leave.
Edit 2: I'll say it again, there are plenty of slightly lower than 30 players out there that are skilled and can more than hold there own. However, the amount of lower levels saying they "dominated" in iron banner while carrying a negative kd is obviously why I don't why I want to play with them.

Yea I would say you are on your own on this one...if you are tired of seeing others not doing so well why not lend a helping hand and explain to them how they can get better and how to work on their weaknesses. Simply telling them to get out is wrong, I am sure you didn't start out the greatest at PVP either.

Ummm.. I pick out the gear I use on my hunter specifically for PVP. Since I use a red hand IX every piece of gear I have has perks that help me use my gun better. So what if it means I'm a 29? It's better then being a 32 with literally all PVE perks.

I figured it out: People play on their main characters until they reach rank 5 and get what they want. Then they switch to their alts in the hopes of reaching rank 4 and getting armour which will propel them to higher levels. Not difficult when Tempering is 100% and 150% for the last 2 days. Also, there is a 7 level limit on the character level difference. So someone 1 level below you will do slightly less damage, and someone 2 levels below will do less still. But it caps at 7 levels.

Went in at level 20 :)
-
Yeah! Damn them for wanting sweet swag for their chars, how dare they.
-
I started as a 27 and wasn't getting owned every match. Just need a good team with strategics.
-
It's when the 25's and 26's see some "easy" to get 36 light gear. They flock. And don't care one bit that they are dragging the entire team down.

Edited by SociallyIneptBoy: 3/24/2015 6:35:39 AMOk, people. Time to pull the stick out. Congratulations on being in the minority that can play IB with sub level-30 gear and not suck ass right now. Congratulations on having the four or five friends who also play Destiny on the same game system as you. Guess what, you aren't the norm this week. It's a few months into the year and now the Christmas n00bs have discovered something new to be too lazy to learn how to do. Getting a fireteam together isn't just something you can do on a whim. Even if you hit up reddit, you're still playing with a bunch of strangers. So far I've lost at least three hours today to being stuck in matches with Christmas n00bs. They drag their teams down and make it next to impossible to win, especially with Destiny's crap matchmaking system always sticking all of them on the same team in almost every round. It's kind of hard to get anywhere when only two people are getting any kills. It got so bad at one point that I actually got rep faster by immediately leaving every 3-4 matches until I got put in a decent team, and I could tell from the status messages that I was far from the only one doing this. Edit: Case in point, I just left a game after getting stuck with a n00b who won't stop "Leeroy Jenkins"-ing all over the map trying to take on groups by himself. Without him, both groups were pretty evenly matched, but his constant deaths were slowly opening a gap that we never would have been able to close.

Well I've seen 32s get 0.1 and 0.05 kds too. I've also seen 26s get 3 kds and better. It works both ways. It's about the player and the skills. Tactics and playstyle matter. Gear and light level only supports. (Unless we're talking about thorn/tlw. Those things are easy kd buffs no matter your skills or lvls.)

2 RepliesPlz this is so true! In my last 5 games of crucible, everybody went negative except for me and someone else!

Edited by Rndom Awesome: 3/18/2015 8:17:20 PMStop complaining. Just pick up that get 10 kill in a row bounty and get it over with. It's pretty easy when there are lower lvls. I would would get mad but I just see it as an advantage and I use it lol
-
The level 27 on our winning team is getting the most kills every time
-
I have a friend who's been 27/28 until last week he hit 32 and he does better on IB than most 32s
-
Seen a few 25*/26s on the opposing team...just frustrating

1 ReplyI think the bigger problem with iron banner right now is the lag, I played two games on a 29 hunter yesterday, the first game I had the top score out of both teams even though my team lost but the second came we were having issues with shots not registering on the other team and people coming out of nowhere with shotguns and seeing them lag out of the picture on the death screen. Seems to me that has a much larger impact than level

I don't mind low levels playing but I wish they would spread them out evenly. Had at least 5 games last night where my whole team was 28's and 29's while the other team was all 30+. Does seem like match making is a little better this time though since I have yet to face a fire team of more than 3 while last IB it seemed like every other match was against full fire teams against mostly solo players.
-
1 ReplyThat's a pretty specific KDR. Is someone butthurt because they lost a match with a low level on their team?
-
Build a bridge and get the fvck over it.
-
2 RepliesI'm a 27 on the P4. And I will be grinding to get some gear. Maybe YOU should stay out! Lol
-
Last iron banner, we brought a 5. We won matches (not all of them obviously), and she even got 2 kills.
-
1 ReplyLevel 32s in iron banner? How's your crota perks?
-
I only have a problem with them if the have less than 10-12 kills, other than that stay out unless you're 30+
-
I saw a 23 yesterday
-
I saw a 20 and he just got reck by my hawkmoon with one blow.... Poor fella he did so little damage too
-
You do realise that a crutch is something that helps people through activities rather than drags them down, right? A 28 therefore is obviously not a crutch.

All i saw was 31s n 32s
