It seems that these vigilantes are fighting against one of the cartels, and the Mexican government wants them to step down.
What do you think of the situation? Would you back down if you were told or would you keep fighting?
-
The cops are even scared of the cartel. America needs to stop butting in , and trying to start shit with other countries.
-
2 RepliesWhat's Mexico's government gonna do, take action?
-
3 RepliesWe'll send them batman
-
3 RepliesNo, no, no no no no no. We have enough drug problems as it is, we don't need cartels, thank you very much. We should however, annex Canada
-
3 RepliesVigilante's standing up to the cartel? They are people I respect.
-
1 ReplyOf course the government wants them to step down because: A.) The vigilantes are doing a better job B.) The government can't get away with corruption anymore The cartels are not some invincible group like many people think. Only reason why their bullshit persists is because the government doesn't care about the violence. So far these areas under militia/vigilante control have been reported to have either a decrease of cartel problems or they have been eradicated as a whole. Unlike our involvement in the Middle-East, the issues in Mexico are ones that affect many Americans daily. Either it be illegal immigration, kidnapping, drug dealing, or human trafficking it all plays a part in the lives of Americans

Edited by Stalwart: 1/16/2014 9:44:12 PMI would fight them. Fight them to the death. FOR MY BROTHER PEDRO
-
Why don't we just execute illegal immigrants?

2 RepliesI say we leave it alone. Just wait for a Mexican Revolution to start and hopefully watch them overthrow they're corrupt government and destroy the cartels.
-
I approve of vigilante justice in this case simply because I have more confidence in them than I do in the Mexican government.
-
Yeah, what would the Mexican government do? Hint: Nothing
-
4 RepliesThe United States needs to focus on problems at home
-
Let them raze anything they please. It's about time a lot of people died - criminals make good candidates.
-
5 RepliesWe've already sent them unarmed drones to help in their fight. We could also send in counter-terrorism and/or counter-insurgency (usually the same people) advisers and trainers to help their elite forces, if we are not already doing that. People, especially on this site, seem to think involvement means full on invasion. It doesn't.
-
What I would do in this situation wouldn't gain any public support, so it doesn't matter.
-
4 RepliesU.S is the world's super power. One thing people don't seem to understand is the fact that the super power HAS to be involved. This escalates even more because this is our neighbor, and this directly affects us.
-
8 RepliesWe don't need to be sticking our noses in other people's business.
-
1 ReplyWhy would you even bring up the US? We don't always need to get involved you know. Although in this case it is more relevant to us than in other cases.
-
Why should the US have to help?? We should stick to our own side of the border IMO unless asked specifically for help. Even then, no.
-
We share borders with them. I don't know how we didn't deal with this long ago.
-
Nope, let them kill each other all they want. Just leave it alone, like we should've done with the middle east.
-
I'm on the Mexican polices side. Aggrivating the cartel could spell trouble for any sting ops the Police might have. But I guess the media wanted this story to sound more interesting.
-
I don't see why the US can't help.
-
More power to these men, I hope they burn down the country if it's necessary to destroy all these cartels.
-
Because the gov is in the pocket of the cartels
