Preordered because I always enjoyed the series, didn't see an article regarding the fact they will charge 15 bucks a month for online play...180 a year. What a bunch of bull shit. Thoughts.?

Skyrim 2 is in the works too.

I was going to buy it, then after I read that, hell no!

3 RepliesThe future of MMOs won't be subscription based. The amount of people willing to pay a monthly fee is not as big as it used to be simply because there are other devs that have shown that it is no longer the absolute way. Elder Scrolls online is trying to tread ground where almost all have failed. WoW being the exception of course. They need to rethink this.

If it was something around $5 a month I wouldn't have a problem but $15? I was so excited but after seeing that I don't think I'll be getting it
-
1 Reply8 bucks a month would be more fair.
-
I wonder if you don't pay it, you could just play it solo. They would be better because i loved skyrim.
didn't see an article regarding the fact they will charge 15 bucks a month for online play
There have been about 5 or 6 thread rants on the sub fee. Just saying

6 RepliesSorry to hear that you're poor, OP. Get a job and it won't make your butthole pucker so much.
-
This game looks like shit anyways, they are out of their mind if they think I am paying 180 a year.
-
I'm just gong to wait and see if they do change it to F2P. If they don't, I'll go to a friends and see if it's worth 180 a year.

6 RepliesEdited by JAMES Z666: 9/6/2013 8:04:56 AMIt's too expensive! F.uck that! Why pay $15 US a month to go online with one game, when I can pay $60 US a year? What a rip-off! And you have to buy the disc as well for like $70 US!? That's retarded! I do not believe what a rip-off that is! It's stupid!

3 RepliesDo what everyone else does. Wait till they go free to play like every other MMORPG.
-
I know the subscription sounds bad, but in the end, it's worth it. Much better than F2P games. The problem we have is... Can Bethesda release a steady stream of new content? Not many MMOs can sustain a subscription. WoW, EvE, Final Fantasy, are some that can. If this game is good, and has lots of content, it could too.
-
That sucks.
-
If they were going to go with the subscription they should have undercut WoW. Plenty of MMOs have already tried charging the same as WoW and failed. People don't want to pay that much and take a chance on a new game.
-
Wait a year until they drop the fee.
-
This is better than pay to win anyday...it is a bit pricy though
-
3 RepliesYa, it sucks, but it makes sense. There's a lot of upkeep involved in MMOs.
-
2 RepliesUnless specified to be F2P, wouldn't you just expect an MMO to have a subscription fee?
