I’ve been playing less and less compared to previous seasons. I’m usually first to pre order out of my friends but this time I cancelled my pre order. The game lacks content and the game is falling apart. I’m no developer or business strategist but this game has been providing income for Bungie which in turn helped them have resources for Matter. They should have switched engines and kept this going as a proper MMO since they were steering it this way. Maybe this game would have been better if they would have just focused on this game instead of attempting to create an eSports game.

I never asked Bungie to ruin the game by hiring unqualified people. That sandbox team is awful.

The raids were great after the servers stabilized but it was a nightmare at launch (Vow error codes and KF basically returned us to D1 when we didn’t have DIM or companion apps to move stuff around). If this one isn’t smooth I’m gonna have to reconsider this game. I can’t justify the amount of time I spend preparing (which is half of what I enjoy about the game), just for it to all get trashed because the servers haven’t gotten the attention they need. Yeah I got Contest Vow done because they extended. Doesn’t overwrite the horrible experience I had with 6 hours in that first encounter hoping to not get Anteatered on the 8th or 9th chieftain kill. Yeah I got KF done too. Because my team is absolutely incredible and we played D1 so we knew what weapons and builds to have on our characters ahead of time. I remember it took nearly 6 minutes to transfer my Gridskipper from my vault during Totems. Point being, Lightfall’s raid launch (and every launch in general) is big for me. If it’s bad it can ruin my opinion of the raid and that’s basically all I play the game for. Story is cool but if I want story there are other great games besides Destiny. The raid experience is unique to Destiny. Idk if other people share this stance, but they NEED to get it together for this one.

I'll see how Lightfall reviews and then maybe come back. Bungie is a microtransaction maker now they don't seem to have any capable developers/testing.
