To be fair, I don't think there's a single person who plays this game who uses 200+ different weapons in a season.
Each season brings new weapons with god rolls that essentially replace the stuff we have in our vaults anyway.
The game needs weapon diversity and it has that. People hoarding 300+ weapons don't use the majority of those weapons. They hold onto them just in case they're ever needed, then by the time they [i]might[/i] need those weapons, Bungie have most likely added those same weapons as part of the season because they know they're what you need.

Some weapons I have multiple of depending o n if its a pvp roll or pve roll, pve rolls also depend on the difficulty or If the intended target is red bar, yellow bar or boss dps. Yes we have seasonal weapo refreshes diesnt mean Ill use them over some gear I have from over a year ago, with the introduction of elemental well builds the reqyirement for element soecific builds is also there, other times Ill run charged with light builds all requiring different loadouts. I dont enjoy running the same build over and over for me it makes the game stale, variety is better imo.

You don't enjoy running the same build but you use weapons you've had for a year? Also, how many of those few hundred weapons do you use frequently? Not once every month or two, every week.

Sometimes Ill even use ones from as far back as pre beyond light as long as they can be infused to max light sure why not? Shouldnt have to use every weapon every week for it to remain viable
