Please buff handcannons on console

Either buff their range, buff their damage, remove bloom

  • Ah, hand canons are still op. If you can’t beat any auto rifle with Lunas Howl or Crimson than you should work on your aim. You can’t have one weapons class that’s already been op for almost 3 years be so far ahead of anything else that is can’t be countered by other classes. Just cuz they buffed 600 rpm autos and it makes getting kills for hand canon users harder they cry nerf. You have to realize the rest of us that don’t like using hand canons have wanted a weapon that can compete with hand canons and when we get one everyone cries nerf.

          Nah. HC is my best weapon and even I think they've been on top far too long. They still are a top pick. You just need to Strafe and use cover now.

            • As a HC user, I say no lol. They are good where they at, maybe reduce bloom abit on consoles but other than that they are fine right there. Any more and it's the next on list to be nerfed

            • Dude i use hand cannons sometimes and i still kill plenty of AR’s. What needs a buff is scout rifles. I will give you that only 150’s are good though. It will be interesting to see what happens when Hawkmoon comes out and which archetype it will be.

                      No thanks, we need more variety, I love how auto rifles are finally viable and balanced. Hand cannons have a ttk of .67 and auto rifles have a ttk of .70 so if you are losing your 1v1’s, its a you problem. I would agree to remove bloom but thats about it, more range would make pulse rifles useless, more damage will power creep them again but bloom? Its a nice quality change that I can agree to Edith: my bad, I was misinformed. It seems ttk for most hand cannons are about .8 seconds unless its last word. Maybe A damage buff to make them .67 would be ideal but I still cant accept a range buff, burst damage is far more valuable than peashooters especially at peek shooting from corners, More range to hand cannons would mean less use for pulse rifles or other longer range archetypes which would suck too.

                            110’s need more range. About 8-10 meters more with less of a step drop off. 140’s need to be 2 crit 1 body. 150’s are fine. 180’s are fine.

                            • I think the range and damage is fine, but i agree the bloom should go (or at least be reduced for all Hand cannons). I love ace of spades, probably one of my favorite exotics but every time I pull it out, it's like i have to teach myself how to use a hand cannon all over again. The bloom is terrible, and it's a 140. So I agree something to needs to he adjusted.

                              • This needs to be addressed and this is also why 150s dominate all other archetypes Before, 140s had superior range but a slower ttk, so it was pretty balanced between the two archetypes. But with the universal range caps, 150s just completely dominate because all HCs now have the same range cap This also kills 110s and 180s just need an overhaul

                              • Well first controller not console (easy mistake to make since most don't know recoil is different based on input method), and hand cannons as a whole need a buff in range and to make 110's and 140's worth while.
