Can we get back to making a destiny for all
No more activities that only small percentages of the community get involved in. Give us a puzzle that can be done in game. Who cares if it is to easy for the elitist 1%. The elitist 1% don't cover all the expenses. Content should be created for all players to take part in. This also refers to content behind paywalls. Basically eververse.
To those stating it's one quest.
It's the current highlight of the season. The only thing happening right now in game. It's labelled as a community event although many of the community feel isolated from it.
Aside from 2 story missions that are not replayable.

The game is likely lost to the streaming trend. Hate to sound like an “old grump”, but I hate what it’s doing to the gaming industry. The way those streamers play is basically like a genre in and of itself. It makes games like work. And unfortunately the amazing Destiny universe is squandered on a bad version of the live service model.

There will never be something that everyone enjoys. Some people are enjoying the puzzle. If you aren’t, don’t participate and wait for it to be solved.

7 RepliesRaids aren't for everyone, competitive PvP is not for everyone, Hard-mode anything like Menagerie or now Legend Sundial is not for everyone. There will always be content for more hardcore players, because otherwise there couldn't be anything difficult. It's like that in every live-service game, because it's just good game-design to cater to multiple audiences. ...and I find it funny how something like this gets released, which rolls around once in a blue moon, which didn't even take that much effort for them to build, and everyone loses their damn minds. No exotic mission got sacrificed for this, all the assets used are in the game already, calm down.

This is something some of the community enjoys. Let them have this. The strike playlist, regular sundial, patrols, bounties, power level 900 and quests are for the casual player. Nightfall’s, nightmares, power level 950, raids and dungeons for the average player. Master nightfall’s, master nightmares, raid challenges, pinnacle rewards, power cap 960 for the hardcore. Triumph seals, solo dungeon rewards and these sort of community challenges for the elite.

2 RepliesYou argument defeats itself. If Bungie is making a game for "everyone" that would include making some content for the top tier players. While I reject your premise, even within that silly context this quest would be part of your solution. Unless you are arguing that Bungie should dumb down every aspect of the game so casuals do not miss anything. That is just an absurd idea.

40 RepliesThis is dumb. First of all, the puzzle right now, EVERY SINGLE PLAYER CAN GET INVOLVED. If you walk, you do it. That's how the puzzle is getting done in the first place. This 5000+ images were all from Datto, and Gladd and all the other "evil streamers"? No. We did it. We have the info, its a community effort. Also it's not -blam!-ing fun what they're doing anyway. You wanna be up and at home, 20 hours, transcribing hundreds and hundreds of images? Making a literal map? No you don't. What you want, is Bungie to stroke you ego going "UWU ITS OK GAMER U BOUGHT THE GAME HERES EVERYTHING U WANTED" Go get involved in content. I don't do the raids, but that's more about time, and being a anxiety stricken mess who can't voice chat. But I COULD do it, but I'm also not blaming Bungie. Get a grip, and actually play it.

13 RepliesThe people who are fine with it will say you’re a casual, or to shut up because “you can participate just like everyone else”. If they enjoy this kind of thing, that’s great. I’m always happy when someone finds something they like. Me personally? It’s not my thing. Reading yet another set of symbols in the game just to run through identical portals matching symbols in sequence over and over just isn’t my idea of fun. I play Destiny for the epic space adventure, not to crowd source icons. I won’t complain and say Destiny is dead or anything, but when I see part of the game veering off in this direction because the game designers are creating tedious, self-indulgent puzzles just so players can happily make spreadsheets with each other, I’m going to comment and suggest they could maybe do something a little more related to loot and shooting in this loot shooter. And everyone saying this is just a little puzzle in the bigger game... No. It isn’t. This is [i]literally[/i] the biggest thing going on right now in this season. This is what everyone is focusing on. That’s not a “little thing”. If there were other new things to do, maybe I’d agree, but this is the ONLY “new” thing to do.
