Yes it is slim.
In pure CBMM you are going to run into a top 2% player about every 4th match
Or a top 1% about every 8th...
In either situation you have a 50% chance of them being on your team.
So if one "top tier player" every 4-8 matches is that big of a deal .... idk what to tell you
