We LOVE destiny. There is no skipping around that fact.
We are a passionate playerbase that only wants the best for this game and for bungie as a company.
Destiny 1 opened doors that i never even knew existed in a video game genre...but Destiny 2 slammed many of those doors shut again.
Destiny has so much potential, its a mile wide but only an inch deep.
We aren't angry with any of the developers personally, we are just frustrated because we know Destiny 2 could be so much more than what it is currently.
Just know Bungie that all of this noise coming in your direction comes from our desire to delve deep into your game...you just have to let us.
Work with us and the game will build itself.
Edit: The angry comments really are concerning. I'm shocked how quickly this community is turning on itself.

You must have forgotten the “love” this community shared for three years about the direction they wanted this game to go on this very forum. Let me regale you with a little bit of those “requests”: “Bungie we want PvP to have less ability, special weapon, heavy weapon spam.” “We want more primary gun battles” “We want easier access to end game level loot” “Bungie those perks on that weapon that person over there spent hours, days, weeks months chasing...they’re not fair, nerf them or remove them!” “Bungie that gun from SSL that people have been chasing forever isn’t fair, nerf it”. There’s way more to continue with but you probably get the idea. Outside of 4v4 and the removal of SSL and the devolving of the loots system from Y3 back to Vanilla D1 many of the changes present in D2 have been requested by this very community...the same community that is now bitching about the very changes they wanted. Now, if you looked at the game without the drama that goes with being a fanboy, the loot systems and mod systems are all that really need changing. Let’s say for instance if we had the Y3 loot system with the current token currency system, winner winner, 🐓 dinner. If the raid system was flipped and we received “raid tweaked” loot from each encounter and the chests while having cosmetics sold by Benedict for the tokens. As far as static rolls are concerned I don’t dislike them. I prefer this to hunting a 1000 of the same damn gun for one specific set of perks for what felt like forever only to have those perks stripped away to make a whiner happy. Exotics that folks are crying about being weak...look to this community for you answer as to why. “They’re “too powerful” and need to be nerfed”. if Bungie were to simply separate PvE and PvP we wouldn’t be having these problems. I don’t develop games, I just play them so I can’t say if it’s a possibility for Bungie to do or not. Overall this game is a lot of fun, at least I’m enjoying it. And as I said if we could get some tweaks to the loot systems and I’d the mods were actually worth a damn I imagine more people would like it.

I just wanted destiny 2 to be a game I wanted to play every day out of the box.

You clearly haven't been here long if you believe that. Not trying to be mean, just saying that's not how things work here
-
I love destiny. But D2 is a bad destiny game.

1 ReplyThe silence from Bungie is what led us to where we are today. Plain and simple - Go back and look at the forums. It didn't start this way - Bungie made it this way.
-
Actually, it's become so bad a lot of us have, sadly, lost the love.
-
We’re frustrated because this game has the potential to define an entire gaming generation and Bungie actively seeks mediocrity.

5 RepliesCome back to d1. We'd be happy to have you

7 RepliesDestiny had potential, D2 does not.

Pros: Gun play Budget Theory/lore Potential Cons: Poor management Poor community and community management/feedback Lack of expansion on Potential Poor story telling (squashed what should have been a long campaign into 8 missions) Lack of knowledge/testing impact (under utilised Beta) Reliance on expansions Lack of building on top of D1

It can but it wont

Speak for yourself

Maybe that's why I'm not angry, I don't "love" Destiny, I just enjoy shooting people in the face, and Destiny is the best place for shooting people in the face. But I'm a filthy casual solo blueberry scrub, so what do I know.

Guess the next update is the last for a small amount of players. Harvest is approaching.

I absolutely love destiny. The potential from D1 and the lore was incredible. But not the way D2 has been driven. HoW was the best. Reforging rolls anyone? Matador 64 was introduced. We only had to choose between Control, Clash, Skirmish, and Rumble. Bring selective playlists back?
-
Waiting for a long-ass self-congratulatory Lost (as)Sols post on how we are expressing our love the wrong way, and instructing us on how to do it properly.
-
Damn right. D1 was one of my absolute favorite games ever. As I've never played any of Bungies other games I didn't expect much, but the community aspect, the gorgeous worlds, the best in class gunplay and raids just made me WANT to throw my money at D2. Now I wish I hadn't. And that saddens the hell out of me.

I loved my ex-girlfriend until she ripped my heart out Indiana Jones style. I also loved D1. It was my rebound.
-
We love the game, but sometimes tough love needs to be given. We want the game to be good but with everything bad Bungie has done it makes it harder and harder to love the game.

Edited by xilxad: 11/28/2017 11:45:39 PMI think there are a lot fewer of us in the love category these days.

Edited by BudduhSwagg: 11/28/2017 11:37:46 PMHey it is an actual well thought out thread viciously attacking the blame at developers. This thread pretty much sums up what all the other frustrated knobs on the forums meant to say.
