We are Frustrated because we LOVE Destiny.
We LOVE destiny. There is no skipping around that fact.
We are a passionate playerbase that only wants the best for this game and for bungie as a company.
Destiny 1 opened doors that i never even knew existed in a video game genre...but Destiny 2 slammed many of those doors shut again.
Destiny has so much potential, its a mile wide but only an inch deep.
We aren't angry with any of the developers personally, we are just frustrated because we know Destiny 2 could be so much more than what it is currently.
Just know Bungie that all of this noise coming in your direction comes from our desire to delve deep into your game...[u][i]you just have to let us[/i].[/u]

They had three years to implement all the feedback they got in destiny 1. What did luke smith do? Sit on his fat ass smoking dope, and chose to troll all of us with his massive fragile ego and a shitfest of a game.

6 RepliesFor those of us who aren't hooked into the emotional hive mind, what are these player concerns, and problems with the game, that need to be addressed? Nothing is ever specifically said as to what is actually been done that is so wrong. I never played Destiny 1, I've been playing Destiny 2 since launch, and I've had a pretty positive experience, so I am legitimately confused.

Destiny 2 should have had dual wielding, boarding, and showing multiple guardians in cutscenes. I think they actually do have the last one

This game went too far the other way. D1 was indeed garnered to the "hardcore" gamer. It's a fact that if you didn't grind, you didn't get all of the good stuff. Where this version just gives all of the upper tier gear to everyone just for doing public events, even if they don't know how to do them "heroic". I feel like the biggest loss in D2 is the sense of accomplishment. How many times did I run VOG to get the OP fatebringer, Vex or run Crota 50 times to get the admittedly broken Black Hammer. And then you'd have it and think F#$! yeah...I've got something that not everyone has. Then I could run around all OP and destroy everything. Now....I get the same guns and gear as a guy who has put 10 hours into this game. I'm sorry but there are no participation trophies in life so I cannot understand why Bungie wants them in their game.

That's what frustrates players. We LOVE Destiny & see the potential it has to be great! I've spent more time with D1 than any game I've ever played & had extremely high hopes for D2. A lot of the hate (Not all) is disappointment and frustration with what could have been. Bungie tried to reinvent the wheel, but this square wheel isn't rolling & is throwing everyone out of the cart. If it's not fixed soon, no one will ride again.

Correct. I'll stop playing D2 until they fix some of the major issues and if they did I'll be back. One important thing for is the power fantasy once that's back I'll be back.

Kind of. We loved what Destiny was shaping up to be. We loved the Destiny that was being talked about by Bungie plus actually shown for months, and even years, before it's release. Then when Bungie got into bed with Activision, it got very muddled up. Best analogy would be like dating a virgin who wont put out for years with you and the night before your wedding she loses her cherry to strangers in a gang bang. It's that kind of deflated feeling when it comes to Destiny. When D1 launched, there was something that was just not right. We all felt it. Helz, it took 3 years of Actibungie to steer it back towards where we wanted it to be after forum rage. Unfortunately, we all knew there had been some strange stuff going on. Activision took over and decided to start fresh. This (D2) is not a sequel. It's a relaunch. The Bungie we all knew was gone since 2010. Hope is gone. We know in the back of our minds Bungie allowed itself to get gang banged by Activision. We are Frustrated because we were lied to, deceived, tricked, bamboozled, call it what you will.

D2's launch is no better or worse than original D1. Whether all the issues arise from Bungie or Activision or both, business will always dictate the path. Not good intentions.

Not sure if I ever loved Destiny to be honest. I think I was more enticed by the potential this franchise had. To be absolutely honest this game was never very good. The huge amount of hours I spent on this game in Year 1, was all about the hunt for Gjallerhorn. An addiction was probably more like it.

I Agree with the main post i LOVED D1 , put over 2000 hours into it ... but with D2 im already struggling to be bothered to do anything at this point .. it just under a week to curse of Osiris . so then a whole load of new stuff at a higher lvl is then going to be released ... also raiding is a little pointless due to the fact that if you are in a clan that has a decent raid team the whole clan gets a piece of the raid set in an engram every week . the token system is a bit of a joke TBH . a lot of the exotics are very meh and with the loss of random perk rolls the main reason we kept playing has been removed . all we want is a game we can keep playing and feel rewarded for doing so . remember when Luke Smith said that D2's design aim was "finding the fun " well i feel a lot of the community are having a lot of trouble finding the fun at the moment

The hardest activities in the game should reward the most powerful and best gear. Will this divide the hardcores from the casuals? Yes! It should! Most games have extra end game content. Take final fantasy. For over a decade their games include and end boss that is tough for folks who run through the game, but easy for the hardcores. Then end game content opens up. The extremely hard bosses and extra levels and abilities and spells to grind a long time for. THIS IS WHAT WE NEED!!!!! I can understand making it more simple for the casuals, but it was SO oversimplified that even the casuals that played the first 2 weeks are all gone! Their plan was poorly executed on all counts, and they lost everyone.

Great post!! I have been playing video games for over 30 years. I bought Destiny 1 as a Taken King Tot and I have NEVER played a game like it. Thought D2 would be just as amazing. It isn't and that is what is a huge bummer. Huge.

Agreed. Hate D2, but i still proudly keep my destiny sticker on my back windshield, wear destiny shirts (didn't buy them from Bungie) and still read the lore. Love the franchise hate the game.
