Just a quick question, do you fashion souls this game or is stats everything? I personally like to focus on making my characters look good as a priority while maintaining decent stats. It's just a game and I want to look good.
If you've got screenshots of a good looking guardians post them below. I'm constantly inspecting people with cool armor combinations.
I'm personally proud of how my warlock looks, I'll post a screenshot later.
Edit: wow I went to sleep last night with this post buried and woke up with almost 50 replies! I love hearing all your opinions and I've been checking out your characters all morning. To bad the app can't really show off the true glory of your guardians.
Edit 2: over 100 responses! It's really interesting seeing how how the community leans
Edit 3: ha ha I was excited to see the 50 replies this morning, and now it's approaching 300! Making bad ass looking guardians has always been a fun part of the game, and I totally relate to those of you who grinded certain activities to get that one piece of dope armor.

Remember my darling and don't be a schnook. It's not how you feel it's how you look.
-
Fashion for life. I've had to choose between the Exultation Mask, Spektar Mask and Scarlight Mask on my Hunter and the orange Chroma really makes the Scarlight a winner for me.

1 ReplyI try to go for a tier 11 build with proper ability rolls and best look. The difference between T11 and T12 is not worth eclectic aesthetic.
-
I go for both
-
Is shaving 30 seconds off a grenade worth not looking cute? Me thinks not.
-
I think everyone can guess where I stand on the subject
-
Gold Pimpalicious for strutting. Armamentarium and combat gear for strikes.
-
Used to care about the stats but the burnout is so strong right now that fashion sets are one of the few things retaining any interest of booting up the game.

Looks-->Perks-->Stats
-
Stats and perks baby - zero fvcks given! T-11 / T-12 all day with preferred reloaded and ammo slots.
-
I go for whatever PvP armor sets look better, then I go for stats, last I go from perks on the armor
-
Hunter with Days of iron helmet + ornament Sealed ahamkaras grasps Days of iron chest + ornament Raid boots Makeshift cloak White tiger shader
everything is silver and very very shiny
Fashion over function baby! Meeeoowwwww!

The only thing I consider style-wise is my shader, and even that I don't care too much. Must be the practicality-first German in me.

3 RepliesMy warlock is hot without a helmet and my hunter has nice gear with two shaders especially, shimmer and Krokos. I tried to make my warlock look like me with blonde hair, pink lips and a smokey eye which is my signature look. I don't really know how to post pics and stuff I'm kinda new to forums so I haven't learned yet but you can look at my profile sometime. I like my hunter gear the best though. Definitely go for style over stats but I did decrypt a ton of dusty engrams to get the rolls I wanted. If I play crucible I don't care about looks so much just stats but I try not to play crucible very much. My titan is a titan so not really girly enough for me.

Style style style! If I find a style I like, I will grind for the same gear with better stats.
-
My warlock. Imagine it with a holgraphic FWC bond and sun breakers with orange helmet chroma.
-
All 3 of my characters look godly. And have great stats (not perfect) Never changing my gear set until I HAVE TO.

18 RepliesI have a beautiful Walock, but I don't know how to post pics on this forum.

1 ReplyI always go for stats (int, dis, str) first then perks then cosmetics. Sometimes I look like a awkward mis-matched school kid but If I can get my super faster than a pretty boy that makes me happy. hahaha
-
1 ReplyI'm all about looks. When it's trials or sweats I switch to better gear
-
I try for both, good thing MIDAS and Trials shaders make almost any armor look good.
sorry Twilight Garrison and other strike loot that doesn't change with shaders
Edited by chickengoujohn93: 1/17/2017 5:26:41 PMKind of both, siding towards look more so. Armor kind of has to match but I do make room for Exotics I may like. For me, Tier 11 is a minimum requirement and luckily is easily achieved. In regard to PvE Strength is the stat I neglect. To the best of my ability, everything has to be Int/Dis except boots. All boots I receive must be Discipline/Strength and the Strength must exceed 60 when activated to achieve Tier 11. Check my characters out if you want. I have a little theme for each... Hive, Iron Lord and Siva.

For me it was Stats before looks but by this point in the game I have both. Just wish I had enough vault space for all my armor sets. I like to match my armor with the element I'm using along with shaders and chroma. Was going for a chroma set on my titan and ended up getting tier 12 stats without meaning to. House of judgement chest with spektor arms, legs, and helm using purple chroma and super black shader looks great Imo.
