I believe the burns (Solar, Arc and Void) actually do TRIPLE damage. [b](EDIT: Apparently they were reduced to 2x.)

Modifiers such as Small Arms and Specialist do DOUBLE damage while also causing a 30% damage decrease on weapons of different status.
But yeah, if it's Void Burn, try to use Void damage. Especially during this weeks Nightfall with Solar Burn.
