Sniping in crucible is past ridiculous something needs to be changed. All primary weapons have been nerfed to the floor at the expense of pve. The only good primaries for pvp are hawksaw, tlw, mida, and doctrine maybe. Shit is broken fix it your game isn't fun

You say that, but I think if you do this thing called strafing and shooting you'll find yourself winning against snipers. Now this is just theory I'm not sure if it works in practice, but im willing to bet it does.

Stop whining.

Here come the salty snipers lol

7 RepliesOr... maybe, just maybe, one can stay out of firing lanes, avoid that red light-effect and "get up close and personal"...

Something needs to be done to bodyshot damage. People who bodyshot are the fucking dogshit of this game

Haha shut up

1 ReplyThere's no counter to specials in general in this game.

Edited by TrulyDontCare: 6/28/2016 7:05:43 PMMy Hand of Judgement disagrees. Edit: so does my DIS-47 with High Caliber Rounds. :)

Use Universal remote/Sniper. Best setup im the game honestly

1 ReplySnipers should not work at point blank range, I know it's not realistic but there should be a damage penalty within a certain distance.
-
2 RepliesOften what I've found is that it's all about angles and the way you're positioning yourself and going around corners If you're finding trouble with snipers, try flanking from behind and around every corner never just run through it, slide or jump around the corner so that the sniper is no longer aimed at your head. Often, average sniper players and even experienced ones can become disoriented and not know where to aim, and either descope or take panic shots and waste bullets. Try not to peek sniper lanes unless you're a sniper yourself, in which case I always recommend finding a counter angle if there is one. Try sitting down, using shadestep or twilight garrison and seeing if there's a sniper pre aimed down that hallway. If there is, just slide or use your movements to avoid the lane and either ignore the sniper and carry on or flank him and use the above mentioned techniques. Don't challange snipers head on unless you're confident in both your strafe and primary game, or you're up close with a strong primary like TLW, or DoP. If you've successfully thrown the same sniper off in different ways, it will often tilt him, make his gameplay suffer and you've won the psychological battle that all snipers face in their heads, and he will miss almost every shot. Destroy the foundation and the house falls.

3 RepliesUse a sniper. All the primaries you just mentioned affect snipers if used right. Tlw ain't what it used to be so cross map killing won't happen. Easiest way to kill a sniper. Outsnipe him. Or get close with tlw. Doctrine or shotgun. Ain't hard rely.

High caliber rounds and explosive rounds on a high impact scout
-
When a sniper rifle can consistently outshoot a shotgun at close range, you should realize your game is worse than Call of Duty's balance
-
Agreed. Sniping is out of hand.
-
9 RepliesWhat are you talking about, snipers can be countered very easily just be aggressive and don't go to sniper lanes.
-
4 RepliesFlinch needs to be more effective. Damn i can run round a corner and hit 2 headshots with a high impact handcannon and still get headshotted by a sniper. The only cpunter is up close and personal or snipe back and hope connection is on your side.

Special weapons should have no more than 6 rounds per match hence the "special". Additional rounds could be picked up from kills from guardians who have ammo left. Just my 2 cents, then again over 40% of my kills are Primary followed by abilities and lastly special.
-
2 Repliesthe only problem with special weapons (IF there's any at all) is the ridiculous amounts of special ammo allowing people to use their special weapons as primaries
-
I'm terrible at PvP so if I'm getting kills with something, it's a strong indication that it's reliable and useable weapon. Did a few matches last night with my PvE gear on, didn't get around to swapping. However it became apparent that I could take snipers out across the map with my Hand of Judgement scout. I was using the longer range lens, green outer/small red open triangle in the centre, can't remember the proper name. I could line the target up between shots and keep hitting them quicker than they could line me up and get me with a headshot and 3 out of four times I was winning. Me, winning gunfights in crucible. Ha. Anyway, snipers are fine. If I can take one down, anyone can.

5 RepliesEdited by lReCol: 6/28/2016 11:18:39 AMCan't aim down sights when Shields are broke. Sorted

10 RepliesAdd chafe to all sniper rifles. You must scan your area, find your target, ads and kill. Now snipers rely largely on the radar to find out which avenue an opponent is closing through and hardscope that lane. They are only good with snipers due to them knowing where they are coming from and no way to close without them knowing.(mostly some of you are incredible either way) Take the radar away it changes.

1 ReplyExcept you know. Vendor hawksaw, grasps of malok, last word at closer range, the god roll shotguns people have, other better snipers. And that's not to mention just not walking into the lane you know they are scoping
