The Silence is Deafening
Bungie,
We know something is messed up with PvP event matchmaking. We can understand that sometimes issues that take time to resolve will pop up.
But the complete silence about the issue is amateur at best. Say something...ANYTHING...in reference to what is going on there. Even a snarky DeeJ comment would suffice. It doesn't even need real substance to it. Just the fact that you reach out to the community, acknowledging there's an issue and reassuring people that it's being worked on would go a long way.
Two community managers and not a damn word between them after simply announcing things are broken. We don't just want to hear that the problem is fixed. Any kind of info would be great. Any kind of random ass comment even remotely tied to what's going on would be great.

They're trying to solve the problem and they'll be releasing a larger update on the situation in This Week at Bungie. They love posting on people s threads about how great the game is, videos of dance party's at the tower, and threads about playing the games music on a trombone..... Bungie Sucks They used to have such a stellar reputation, now? Nah...I'll never buy anything from them without at least a month or 2 after release, they're too much of a shit show currently

Deej gives service announcement on status or timeframe till fix, gets blasted for not fixing it already and for it being broken in the first place, community frustrated and still not playing freely. Deej waits till patch is ready, updates players when it rolls out, gets blasted for it being broken in the first place and why it took so long. Community frustrations fade by being able to play. I would choose the 3rd option if I was in their position.

Saw this on Bungie's twitter feed: Bungie @Bungie 20h20 hours ago .@M8J8W We need to fix an issue with Iron Banner before it can return. At this point, we don't plan to start it mid-week for a short run.

Earlier today there was a service alert on the app saying a patch would drop tomorrow and we would be removed from our activity for the patch to be installed. This wasn't up for long before it was removed.

It's worse than just matchmaking issues. I've read about and experienced PvP matches where I'm doing no damage at all..... Something bigger is afoot here. If we don't see a patch by tomorrow don't expect trials this weekend.

They're like this with any issue most favorite line they like to say is "We will have am update for you at a later time for a update to an update".... like really? That tells us nothing. They also need to come out and say what these live events are going to be before rise of iron.

2 RepliesHis post outright canceling iron banner for the month says quite a lot. Not delaying it just canceling it. He also mentioned info to be found in the weekly update didn't he? I think that meant not to expect a damn thing before Thursday evening. That doesn't even leave high hopes for Trials again does it? Any way some big mistakes were clearly made and I am sure any one who knows how to mop up is trying to do so.

Well when you deal with Activision NDAs and gag orders are a [i]very[/i] common occurrence. That or they themselves don't even know where the root of the problem is.
