1) Graduate high school 2) Get a job 3) Don't have kids until you're married
Interestingly enough, all of these things are interrelated. Children who grow up in single-parent (predominately single-mothers - fueled by births out of wedlock) households are more likely to graduate high school (and complete more school, on average). Then, as we know, the lack of a diploma is linked to higher crime, poverty, and unemployment rates.

It is. What did I say?

Are you sure? Re-read it. It doesn't seem to match what you linked at all.

Yeah I just checked the link. Family structure is related to academic achievement. I could go dig up my "low academic achievement relates to poverty" link, if you want.

Edited by car15: 6/6/2016 7:11:08 AMSo, just to be 100% clear, you believe that children who grow up with single parents are more likely to complete high school than their peers from intact families? Are you sure you re-read your post?

No no, less likely to complete high school.
