Oh yeah, forgot I switched to that...
Looking for those funny stories of Guardians that forgot they switched subclasses or guns and then went to use them and had an epic fail.
I personally have dove in from the sky on a control point harboring 4 opponents to bubble them and proceed to face palm as I was then used as a punching bag.
Activated my super as a hunter expecting golden gun to come to life and kill the two Guardians from a good distance away...what happened was I blade danced my way to them, made it about half way after standing there for a few seconds shaking my head to myself.
Edit: Hilarious stuff guys, loving it all as we have all been there. Sure it may not have been funny for you at the time, but looking back you can't help but laugh.
Edit: Pretty sure if this was a poll, FoH/bubble would be winning.

A stormcaller was once coming at me and I switched from Nightstalker to blade so I thought I would panic tether but instead I activate blade and get killed.

had this happen this morning...I forgot I switched from Striker to Defender and went to shoulder charge somebody....well, that did not go as planned. Took a shotgun for my efforts.

I don't really make that mistake, but if I went into crucible right after a raid, I would get frustrated because my shoulder charge wouldn't activate.

We got to the hallway right before the boss fight and I ran out with my hunter and said " I got this shit ". Thinking I was going to go bladedancer but instead I pulled out the the golden gun. I froze for a second thinking what the hell just happened. Guardian down then all I heard was " Ray you're a idiot". We laughed so hard we wiped and returned to orbit. Made it back to the same hallway and said " okay now I really got this shit". I ran out to face the goblins popped my super and just said " yeah I'm a idiot ". I forgot to switch to bladedancer again.

Think that I am a night stalker, go to jump gap, forget I switched to blade dancer and blink off the edge. All the freaking time. Or in IB this week, running up that center ramp towards B on that terrible Mercury map i see 5 enemy capping the point. Thinking I have long distance jump/Shockwave on, I FOH only to realize I have Death from above on: Forgot to aim. Hit the lip of the ramp, killing no one, just stand there as I get annihilated. Favorite part was the guy who didn't shoot just so he could use the clap emote as I died.

So I normally play hunter. But for iron banner I figured I would dick around on my other characters (you can check my time played on the other characters compared to my hunter, he out weighs both combined). So I had just finished rank 5 ib on my warlock I had switched my stuff over to my titan and was running striker. I was coming up on bravo, ready to get a slayer medal with a nova bomb.....and I havoc fist from about 50 ft. Away -_- I felt so scrubby lol

Not in Destiny, but in Bo3 I saw the entire enemy team in a single area and none of them saw me, decided to run up and use gravity spikes to get a 6 man kill... I had scythe on...

Was running striker trying out my new mk 44 stand asides, changed over to sunbreaker proceeded to forget I changed subs, 1st enemy I saw in IB came charging up front behind to whiff on a melee expecting to sc. It ended badly for me
