So Trials suspended again because sad people need to cheat at a video game.
How many times are you going to let exploiters go unpunished Bungie?
Nightstalker glitch, push Atheon, Pull the plug on Crota, Hammer glitch, near instant super glitch, unlimited heavy block glitch....there were more
Instead of punishing everyone post the glitch with a warning, monitor for the glitch and instantly ban the player when they use the exploit.
You have a large pool of players, a sad percentage of them are cheaters.
To the exploiters, you screwed something else up for the rest of us, you are the plague video games, you are pathetic, who cheats at video games? Cheating is no better than lieing or stealing, you deserve a ban.
Edit: Hard to believe how many people lack integrity and support using exploits. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. This innocent exploit cancelled an event that hundreds of thousands participate in every week.
The Division devs just banned players for exploiting, Bungie needs to do the same thing. You folks that are exploiting, glitch in and cheating are the lowest form of gamer and you should be punished.

But if they Ban cheaters then they would reduce their player base by 70%

Punishing paying customers for bad coding is a horrible way of doing business. Period. Canceling the whole event is also bad business. Disabling the perk or working extra hours to push a hotfix are two only viable solutions.

6 RepliesRead the this week at bungie, they don't want to punish players for their mistakes. The Division did that and that was wrong, players shouldn't be punished for coding mistakes.

10 RepliesIt's not a glitch, it's an exploit. If they were indeed glitching (or cheating, as some would prefer to say) then they could just ban the perps, patch the bug and everyone would be on their way. However. This is not a glitch/cheat, it's an exploit. Different story altogether. Players are using features already built into the game and using them to their advantage in a way that benefits their team. That, to me, isn't an offence worth a ban. Sure, it's a dick move, I'll meet you halfway there. But a ban? No.

5 RepliesExploits. You use things ingame, which you did not create yourself. Cheating goes one step further (DDOS for example).

Not cheating. exploiting is the correct term. yes its a shitty thing to do. but terminology is there for a reason.

5 RepliesBungie should take a page from Massive/Ubisoft: issue a press release about acknowledgeing the problem, and then state, point blank, that people who abuse it will be punished. Instead, Bungie decides that the few who abuse an exploit means we should all be punished.

6 RepliesI might be wrong, and if I am I take 100% accountability for it. But last time I checked the stats only about 2% of the player base plays trials. If this is still the case, then bungie made the right decision. Again, I might be totally wrong here and trials might have became more popular because there is nothing else to do.
To the exploiters, you screwed something else up for the rest of us, you are the plague video games, you are pathetic, who cheats at video games? Cheating is no better than lieing or stealing, you deserve a LIFE-LONG ban.
I added two words to your otherwise spot-on post.

1 ReplyFor me there are two kinds of exploits, the kinds that are lame but innocent, like the aethon push, which is called cheese. This however, I feel is a cheat, simply because youre not just taking advantage of how something works, but deliberately abusing it to get an unfair advantage that you know very well ruins the experiences for everyone.

6 RepliesI'm starting to believe people seem to not know the difference between exploiting something and cheating at something. The game was updated with this perk coded into it. So it's not cheating if your taking advantage of a situation a person puts themselves in. It is cheating to go into the game files and modify the code to give yourself an advantage that was never there. As for what Ubisoft is doing it's already biting them in the ass. Mind you I'm not surprised as they are the same company that couldn't even get Tetris to work correctly.

1 ReplySorry but it's a video game... relax! It was a goofy and fun glitch in a VIDEO GAME it's not like you embezzled money or cheated on your taxes. Again, video game... not real life

23 RepliesPvP yes, PvE you just being dumb.

18 RepliesWhat exploit is there in pvp now? I don't really play pvp but I do remember the unlimited shadowshot and that was very cheap and annoying. It's sad people will always look for shortcuts.
