Cause I main a hunter when I try out a warlock or Titan I can't help but think Hunters require a bit more skill to do well with.

I'm not giving an answer because they are all equal. There is always some way to counteract another class.

If you think Huntards require the most skill, please leave this game, you're probably the reason why our favorite weapons keep getting nerfed.

21 RepliesI think it tends to go by subclass, not class. Low Skill Factor: Striker Strikers have simple, straightforward powers and Supers. A neophyte player can do quite well as one. However, they have some abilities (shoulder charge) that require some additional skill. Moderate Skill factor: Defender, Voidwalker, Stormcaller, and Bladedancer Defenders are not so much about skill as about strategy, using their force multipliers to the good of the team. Bladedancers are more about strategy, in the use of invisibility and the intelligent use of their Supers. Activate it in the wrong place, a quick death and a wasted Super. Do it just right, and you can get a Breaker trophy. Voidwalkers are a mixed bag; they grenades and melee game are simple enough, but nova bomb neds some aiming. Stormcallers are powerful and mostly straightforward, but benefit from cerebral play (such as staying with comrades as much as possible, the better to charge your Super faster. Their limited armor and stealth makes them glass cannons. High Skill Factor: Sunbreaker, Gunslinger, Nightstalker Sunbreakers require high skill, since the hit radius of their hammers is microscopic, and their grenades tend to require good placement. Gunslingers require a great deal of skill, in the placement of golden gun bullets and tripmines. Nightstalkers are powerful, but require strategy and skill. I still haven't figured out how to make the class work right.

All relatively easy to use in my opinion

I think each class requires the same amount of skill for each class but to all hunter aiming the bow , aiming golden gun , and using bladedancer with blink isn't skill it the same as every class in the game
shadestepping away isn't skill either
I know that the warlock melee shouldn't one shot melee without super on

Hunters require skill? We all know that's a lie. Neither do Titans per say. And Warlocks never took skill in general.
-
In year one I barely saw any warlocks, so warlock
-
So if the Hunter takes more skill, shouldn't your k/d ratio on your warlock be higher than that in your Hunter?
-
Well, this is destiny. So none

5 RepliesIt funny how everyone's just looking at supers, you should know neutral game is what counts (nightstalker and sunsinger scrub tier)

6 RepliesMe personally ive been playing all three since day one. Titan defender is the only subclasses that is based on skill alone PVP vise. Now in PVE its easy mode. The reason why i say it takes the most skill is because you don't have a super to fall back on, ie no kills from it period. I wish they would of made it to where you die if you run into the bubble or at least take damage. Hunters are PVP powerhouses and kind of meh PVE. While warlocks(my main by the way) can do well in both.

27 Replies100% disagree. The main mechanics of locomotion that make up the hunter are literally the most common in all of fps. Warlocks and Titans both have to manipulate their second jump to be successful in pvp. Focused burst, catapult/movement. Other than throwing knives hunters play like any other fps game. Which is why SOOO many people gravitate towards hunter. They go with what is familiar. Blink, warlocks have that so it's not counted in its mechanics. Shade step is more of a refined movement, even though people disagree. And call it a crutch, it takes skill to use properly ever notice those idiots that use shade step in a straight line??? Yeah... You aren't using it Correctly. Hunters don't need to think about much after they've activated their second jump. You just press a button and forget it, you can't do that with a Titan/warlock. Unless you are one of those idiots that just flies up into the air like a moron and wonder why you died. I have played all three classes extensively and have gone to the lighthouse with all of them as well. I put in more work (mechanics wise) with both my titan and warlock than I do with my hunter. And I love all of my classes, but hunter is does NOT take the most skill to use. I'm going to have to give the largest learning curve to Titans. Plain and simple. You can disagree and bitch, but if you don't use all three classes frequently, then you don't know what you are talking about.

5 RepliesI honestly want someone to explain how Titans take skill. Auto tracking shoulder charge and lightning nades with biggest radius I have ever seen.

1 ReplyLol at all these butt hurt titans.

2 RepliesWhere's the option for sweeper bot?
-
Who ever would have guessed that you main a Hunter and you think they take more skill? No one could have seen that coming.
-
they dont. hunters have a lot more of a "if you -blam!- up, you're still good" ratio than a titan. definitly a warlock though
-
Defender Titans are just Spartans with a Bubble Shield, plasma nades and overshield.

1 ReplyI think that the reckless style needed to use a striker properly is quite difficult to master
