If you have stopped playing Destiny...

What would bring you back? I stopped playing back in Oct, but before i move on. To all you Destiny tracker happy fans if you look it up. Long story short. I let my seven year old play a couple times to check it out for a few minutes. Bungie sent a message if I'm right a month or so back asking why some gamers have left Destiny. Im sure they didn't get the many Pleasant messages. Anyways, this is some of what i came up with that would bring me back. 1) Communication is the number one thing in any type of relationship and it don't matter whether it's for business or pleasure. Without it you will never get anywhere with whatever type of relationship you have. This is the number one thing Bungie needs to work on. Although, this last stream wasn't a good impression. Something to think about Bungie. How your Community manager or whoever persents themselves will reflect on you. 2) One of the biggest issue that can save a lot of headaches for everyone and its on the wish list. Considering to separate PvP balance from PvE would be heading in the right direction. When i first heard this company was coming out with Destiny i was excited knowing what little experience i have had with the enjoyment of playing Halo. Awesome artwork, great story etc. I was ready to explore. From what i gathered from you Bungie was our guardians were going to grow more powerful as time moves on, learning new abilities and acquiring certain items to help me through my quest etc. I felt that way when Destiny first started, but since then ive noticed me as a Guardian as each expansion was created i was getting weaker and the enemy were getting stronger. Making weapons, gear and even my abilities weaker is not making a Guardian more powerful nor feel. It's taking away to me the aspect of what a Guardian actually is. 3) Rotation if this was improved it would keep me and im assuming other Guardians more interested in doing certain activities. Changing up the rotation in the nightfall playlists on a set schedule like you do with Xur. Changing up the PVP maps by bringing back some of the older one on a set schedule. Changing up our planet's on a set schedule. Meaning public events. After almost two years im sure gamers are bored with seing that same Fallen Walker on the cosmodrome to where the sword-bearer used to pop out. Adding different types of public events on a schedule and adding more type of activities would keep me intrest and ways for you to add new type of bounties. 4) Vendors :) as it stands the rotation timer servers no purpose. Trying to figure out why it hasn't been removed? If the vendors had a rotation on their supplies it would make a would of difference in this game. And an actual purposes for the extra grind gamers do already. Just a thought, but thought it would always be cool just to drop by the tower and see what new things they have. The other things is thought it would be cool if the vendors had a rotation that the gear or what ever was useful at your current level you are at. As it stand its only to help a gamer that is starting out a new event and shortly after that the gamer has no use for them. 5)The good ole RNG :) Some have luck and other's umm, let's just say they wish you would get rid of the system lol. I don't know about all of you Guardians, but knowing nightfall is a challenge mode and a time gate. I never liked the fact when i visit Xur and buy an exotic and deside to run a nightfall. It's not rewording to end up with that same exotic i just bought or run its a couple times and still end up with that same exotic. Not to mention that same exotic dropping in other events. This is me reaching out there too far, but Bungie. You really need to look at your RNG knowing its drops a lot of the samethings all to many times. I didn't run the sparrow racing, but im sure most vehicles in todays would only have one horn? Raids, not going to go into this to much, but im sure running a raid literally closes to a hundred times just to reach max level is not what most gamers expected. Not one time have i ever needed to reach max to complete anything in this game. If Bungie takes out the 20 different light levels to each weapon and gear pice. I think it would lighten up the over grinding that is not necessary for any raid. Bringing back elements as they were is something id be interested in. A raid to me was fun when it was rewording among other things and it gave a purpose to want to gring for the loot. Bragging rights hasn't worked for many. This is just some of what would make me want to come back if Bungie actually put the effort in looking into some of this and TRY to fix it. Your move Bungie.

  • I dropped the game when I realized they were never going to listen people reasoning why matchmaking should be across the game. I was going to come back if they changed their minds, or fire Luke Smith, but now I've built a good team in The Division and it's too late. I also loved PvP, but I'm hoping Overwatch will fill that gap.

I honestly can't think of anything. I'm just tired of all the disappointment. All the nurfs, All the bugs, all the content that is now 100% pointless to play. The desire to find new weapons is gone. They will probably be nurfed anyway. That, and maxing them out requires double RNG. Just to tired to run this wheel anymore.

I left in November. 1: The direction Bungie took with microtransactions bothered me extremely. I don't have a problem with microtransactions if they're done right. Purely cosmetic.... 2: This leads into point 2. The lying about microtransactions being cosmetic. I don't appreciate being lied too. I hate what Destiny turned into. When I signed up for Destiny back at PS4 alpha, I didn't sign up for this kind of system. They continually lied about micros. They said it would be cosmetic items. At first it was emotes, then it was level boosts and weapon telemetries, then it was stat tracking and unique quests and gear with SRL, and of course now, its reputation boosts and gear sets. Sure they're at 3 light but it takes 1.5 second to raise it up with one infuse.... 3. This leads to point 3. Now, micros completely dictate how they develop their game. Just look at their infusion system. They changed it for one reason: because the gear you buy is at 3 light level. This is microtransactions dictating development. Also, they develop reskins and think how they can charge people microtransactions for stuff we already bought a year ago....lets update something no one asked for (PoE) and then sell people the new gear sets we made! 4. My friends all got pissed and stopped playing. I tried LFG for a while but I just couldn't do it. I eventually quit too back in November. There is nothing they could do to bring me back at this point. They are liars who literally don't care about their customers but just want to sell overpriced RNG microtransactions. Gambling in Destiny. I didn't sign up for this kind of system when I first bought the game. Honestly when someone says the word Destiny it just pisses me off because they continually lie.

    • The only thing that would bring me back is a complete rollback to House of Wolves, + the Taken King content, WITHOUT the bullshit nerfs, Triple RNG, and idiotic infusion system. But that would never happen, so I would never come back. I may check out Destiny 2 though.

      • Since quiting in august of last year I've yet to see a single thing that would give me a reason to play again. In fact.. with the micro transactions coming into full swing I can see myself avoid all future destiny games altogether. Rip bungie

        • Nothing would bring me back, bungie has shown a completely lack of care for their player base and cater to the whiny PvP crowd who all seem to want everything to be nerfed into oblivion.

          • 1. A whole new development team. 2. Community managers/devs that listen to their players. and the actual issues. 3. End of real life money currency stuff. 4. Separation of pvp and pve. 5. Rebuff's for PVE weapons. 6. End of contract with Cashtivision. 7. More interaction from the Dev team and the community. (Them conversing with us.) 8. Twitch streams showing progress of whats being worked on. 9.All information about game being put on site. Maitence. things ending early. Development. No more of this scattered information bullshit. 10. Group of devs that actually play their game (Destiny) Pretty much Everything that Digital Extremes does. Because. that company loves their game, and their community.

            • 1. Accountability: The Destiny we got was not the Destiny we were supposed to get. They took a game that was originally $60, and sold it for $140. I feel cheated, and I want an explanation for that bullshit. 2. ALL content and gear brought into Year 2: Gaming itself is a waste of otherwise productive time, and they emphasized that by leaving behind most of the gear we spent a shameful amount of hours to acquire. Year 1 strikes and raids should be Year 2 activities as well. Having them remixed somehow would be nice too. 3. Separated PvE and PvP: I'm just tired of the rebalances for PvP that effect PvE activities. Just give everyone generic weapons for PvP, so everyone is on a level playing field. Trying to adjust damage and range must be a nightmare while taking into account all the perks and weapon types to think about. Keep it simple. 4. Support the player: Nothing says "Thanks for playing" quite like log in bonuses, like say a strange coin or a few hundred glimmer. Nothing says "We love you, keep playing!" like a few hundred silver and an exotic engram at the start of a new event. Or Bungie Day.

              • I'd come back if they updated all of the raids to current levels, added all the old strikes and crucible maps back to the current rotation, and they actually would add new content to the game on a regular basic. I don't see any reason why you couldn't release a substantial amount of new content at least every 4 months. I would like a good update every month with at least a few new items. I think they are just holding back....saving all the good stuff for Destiny 2. It better be WAY better than Destiny 1, that's all I can say. They also need to stop lying, destroying weapons for no reason, and destroying & removing all of our previous content.

                • 1. Not be arrogant dicks who think they know what we want better than we do. 2. Stop "fixing" things that aren't broken. 3. Completely separate PvE and PvP, no exceptions. 4. Fire Luke and Jon, they've completely ruined this game. Nothing short of all of this will bring me back.

Deej reflects the feeling that he's an bloody amateur imo. Goes for the actuall game itself aswell as how he behave to the community. Just my thoughts.

                    • I'm not going to lie. I honestly can't think of anything that would bring me back. I've been burnt too many times. Lots of content and lots of powerful interesting diverse drops to work for, and a solemn binding contract that they'll never let PvP balance negatively impact PvE again, on pain of forfeiting their assets to me. Maybe that would get me back.
