The Division lacks what Destiny excels at
In my opinion the division just doesn't cause me to feel that sense of wonder and curiosity that Destiny has. For example, after The Dark Below was released for Destiny, I was absolutely hooked on the Hive and the lore behind them. Nothing in the division does that for me like destiny has. I know they are both set in different worlds but the division has reached the climax of what it can do. The finally boss IS A -blam!-ING HELICOPTER! Destiny's boss is a giant badass alien (referring to Atheon here not the vanilla boss) that you need teamwork to kill. Sorry division you were fun but I'll always find my way back to destiny because of its extensive and interesting lore
Yes I realize the vanilla final boss is the three minotaurs but seriously can those really be considered bosses? I just refer to the raid bosses as the final bosses because they actually deserve the title

The final boss in a STORY mission is a helicopter. It's better than destinys slightly larger versions of enemies that have no special abilities.

I've watched a lot of game play of the Division thanks to Mr Fruit, I know people say why would you watch someone play when you can try it out. Well unfortunately I have a 360 so.....yea..there's your answer.....working on getting a ps4 though which will be nice. But I'm sad to see the hype of the Division has seemed to have worn off. I'm looking forward to it...mostly because I want to kill off other players and see how long I can survive. But Destiny and Division both are amazing games which is why I don't get players feel the need to compare one to the other and bash players who don't share the same opinion.

The problem with this comparison is that the first "raid" isn't out yet for The Division. Maybe wait for that and see how you feel. You do see infected people, but usually when you do they die in front of your eyes. The real issue is that these are different IPs with different strengths and weaknesses. It's ok if you don't enjoy one or the other, but the attempt at shaming one or the other is sad and silly. I love and enjoy both games for different reason, and that's ok.

As far as things to do in vanilla destiny vs division. Division wins hands down PvE wise. PvP it's decades behind and I'm a PvP player so it's a shame. But angering kids to the point they quit the server because they can't kill me 4v1 and being able to talk crap to them through the proximity chat is kind of nice wish destiny had that.

2 RepliesDivision to me ended up like Vanilla Destiny. Only with two major differences. 1. A story that makes sense. 2. An Actual Open explorable world. If we're comparing the base games. Division fcks Destiny up. To compare it to TTK we'll have to see how the first two dlcs go.

3 RepliesThe three minotaurs are equal to the chopper. Atheon is a raid boss, the raid was released two weeks after destiny came out. Divisions raid (incursion) comes out soon and will have the first boss comparable to atheon. Get it together.

Yes I know, guns, loot = the same.( I disagree) The two games, while finding players that like both, appeal to different crowds. Priority. Destiny - gameplay and machanics. The Division - A proper detailed loot game. Which one you prefer is up to you.

The main problem wirh the division, imho, is it gets boring way too fast. And they have so much unused space....after you finish the side missions, all open world except dz is just fast traveled over. Feels like a waste. The world is highly detailed but it also somehow feels phony. I think this comes down to how people and enemies react to you.

Why are you comparing a story boss to a raid boss? The Divisions story is way more grounded and realistic. I was more interested in the Division story than vanilla story of Destiny. At least the Intel is in the game and not in an app. Build variety is actually a thing in the Division. Matchmaking everywhere. Loot is way better. Destiny has shooting mechanics, grandiose, and good lore not in the game. They both have positives and negatives.

It's funny because a majority of The Division's gameplay is [u]also word for word[/u] exactly what Destiny players said they hated. The Division has less if not equivalent endgame as Destiny does currently. Which is simply: Get better gear. That's it. Hopefully Ubisoft puts in some interesting boss fights with mechanics rather than throwing 2 Guards, and an miniature artillery strike. Not to mention the shotgunners that are capable of two shotting you (which is basically the equivalent of Crota hard mode where enemies were and extra two levels above us in the sense of "making it hard").

So what the hell were the remaining 2 of us supposed to do? The Dark Zone is doable with 2, but not much fun in my opinion at least not compared to having 4 or even 3. Replaying missions is dull if theres no daily reward, farmed the Police station boss a bit but didn't really seem worth it. So we split off, I need to mop up some phones and stuff. But when all the collectables are done then what next? Theres an update coming out (April 12th!) that will add a few things like Incursions (again better with teams) and the Division equivalent of Bounties, but it just doesn't feel like it could have the longevity of Destiny, and I've only been playing it for 2-3 weeks! And as for bullet sponges; people complained about Rockets McDickface but he's a pansy compared to every single enemy on Division's challenge modes. That gets boring pretty quick too. But I'm not sure about Destiny either, I've lost what little faith I had. I wish we'd had proper DLCs like in year 1. Would rather pay for decent content than flimsy PvP events we only get to play for a couple of weeks.
