Just turn the 1000 Yard Stare into an exotic.
Exotic feature would be the massive aim assist that it already has.
Would also eliminate having Thorn, TLW, Mida, Suros, JuJu, and any other OP exotics equipped

Its a very simple concept really. The reason why so many people use it is because it is the most obtainable sniper that can res snipe.

This bait is funny because it is literally so easy to shotgun a sniper. I always use a sniper and was matched yesterday with number 11 in the world. He was straight up out gunning me. We were down 2-4 and a team mate switched to fusion rifle, while I switched to shotgun and we flipped it around and won. I haven't touched a shotgun in all of Year Two. RIP MunchGawd

4 RepliesNo. BUNGIE would kill it just like they did the black hammer when it turned into the black spindle. Get gud scrub and learn how to counter snipers. The solution is to use cover to advance on a sniper and kill them in close quarters.

8 RepliesNo...just no. The easiest fix to Snipers would be a reload after every shot. Everything else is fine but being able to rapidly fire off 4-5 rounds is the issue that's OP.

2 RepliesThe thousand yard isn't overpowered, just overused. It was made available to all players through a quest (which if you grabbed it from the quest that is how you get the insane aim assist on it from what I've been told) and can be bought. It can also be obtained through engrams. Because of its accessibility everyone uses it.

Many snipers have higher AA than 1000 Yard. Get your facts right. Also, it's not OP it's too popular but obviously when it's the only sniper in the best archetype of all snipers it will be widely used. In Y1 we had vanilla weapons and 2 DLC's worth of weapons to vary what we used. No one really complained about LDR because there was Her Benevolence and many others that were used. Felwinters was the only shotty of its type, Matador and Party Crasher +1 were close but had less damage thus why Felwinter's was the most complained about. 1000 Yard is the most deadly because of its impact/rate of fire combo but not OP in any way shape or form so please educate yourself. We have no need for stupid things like this post to destroy the game even more.
