2 RepliesEdited by LordofArbiters: 12/8/2015 2:06:24 AMDepends on how you write it. 1. If it is written as 6/2(2+1) (where 6/2 is division) then the answer is 1. 2. If it is written as 6/2(2+1) (where 6/2 is a fraction) then the answer is 9. The end result is as followed: 1. 6/( 3 • 2) 6/6 = 1 2. (3 • 6) /2 18/2 = 9

2 RepliesEdited by GoalieZach: 12/8/2015 1:52:15 AM9, first you do 1+2,then you do 6/2, then that would become 3 3, which is 3•3, which is 9

5 Replies1 IMO. In reality its (1)/(2(2+1) because the divisor overall is in parentheses.

7, first you have to distribute, then divide, then add... PEMDAS people...

Edited by Mighty Albatross: 12/8/2015 1:43:53 AMSo is that (6/2)(1+2) or 6/(2(1+2)) 6 ------ 2(1+2) Or 6 - (1+2) 2
for the first option it would be 6/6=1. For the second option it would be 9.
You really need to be more specific OP
