Hey folks, if you pay attention at all, the number of super kills by Sunbreaker is very similar to Bladedancer and Stormcaller, maybe even Gunslinger. In Crucible a well-skilled Sunbreaker can easily get 1 or 2 kills... 3 or 4 is almost always the max... 5 or more is very rare and more often because the enemy team were morons.
For that fact alone, all your whines will never nerf the Sunbreaker's damage resistance nor their regen recovery. Not being able to kill them with whatever tactics you use on other subclasses is 100% irrelevant. This is NOT about range... NOT about melee... NOT about how many hammers.
I could mention tank, but many of you will whine some more... but I'll say it anyway since your tears are nice today. Fact... Bladedancer avoids dying ALL the time using their agility, blink, regen, and invisibility. There is no reason in the world to argue that a Titan should not be able to avoid dying using their tank, which by the way is only 5% more.
Finally, year 1 was the worst for all Titans. They now have a legit multi-kill super, which many have had since day 1. Any nerf would kill the subclass in pvp and no longer make it on par with other subclasses. The normal subclass play is also very bad. This is a super driven subclass. Bungie won't nerf it, and they know if they do 1/3 of their population would drastically quit.
The bottom line is kills with the super. If, on average, Sunbreakers are doing the same as Stormcallers and Bladedancers there is no reason to nerf them. If you start the debate about melee and range, let's not forget who had the crappiest one-shot melee super in year one, while Voidwalker dominated from afar with no risk. People are just spinning the truth so they can win.
Sorry folks... here's a tissue for those tears.
EDIT / FINAL THOUGHTS:
I guess for some, we'll have to agree to disagree. For many, thanks for the kind words and support. I'm out of this debate. All we can do is hope Bungie doesn't succumb to the cries of casuals afraid to adapt. I firmly believe that the average Sunbreaker isn't dominating in super kills as many think. I understand frustration when you can't kill someone, but you also have to put the shoe on the other foot... all subclasses can avoid death using their unique abilities... damn you shade step! This just so happens to be a damage reduction ability that people are not used to. Titans... stay strong.

They cold nerf by decreasing armpit to 40% and give more hammers
-
20 RepliesThat and consider the fact that before TTK titans always really had to rely on their guns because their supers sucl and were really only ever good for taking down another super were the opportunity to come around. So now when you've given this set of people who were skilled with a super, one hell of a super. It's really the skill obtained from year one that's dicking you over Not the super.
-
Good luck with that assumption.
-
8 RepliesYou guys are so scared of your crutch getting nerfed.
-
Bruh they have similar kills to classes that have been tracked since the beginning. That means the HoS kill slope is way steeper than the other classes.
-
Hmmm sunbreakers. Ah yes, i remember those. They were the exotic warlock gauntlets from year one weren't they. Yes, they were absolute garbarge.
-
Needs less mobility on and off super.
-
The reason sunbreaker is OP is because 'no-one' used a Titan in PVP before.
-
I still have no problem wrecking a team with stormcaller or bladedancer, I don't see the issue with hammer time. As a person who runs all classes pretty equal in crucible, BTW. And kdr kids can suck it if that's all you have as a rebuttal...

5 RepliesTitan smash wasn't a legit multi kill super? In my view the hammer is like the golden gun, one shot kill always. Only they have unlimited rounds and stupid amounts of life, seems fair
-
1 ReplyLook honestly i don't whine at all about sunbreaker and i main a bladedancer in crucible yesterday in trials i heard the titan pop his hammer and i blinked toward him shotgunned him 3-4 times and killed him. Bladedancers got nerfed because they were too hard to kill now 90% of people want to whine about this, only reason i wouldn't care if they get nerfed or not is because WE GOT NERFED BY THE TITANS WHO COULDNT GET AWAY FROM US NOW THEY ARE MAD THAT PEOPLE WANT TO NERF THEM BE FAIR. the titans will be getting a nerf very soon just the way it works. NEXT WILL BE STORMCALLERS RANGE, TRUST ME !!
-
Just saying blade dancer should have the longest super in that case. Who cares though f this broken game i guess thats why i love it.
-
I save my hammer for when I know there are 4 or more on a capture zone lol
-
I dont have a problem with it. Yeah, it hets annoying to get caught with a hammer from lord knows where (when they spam towards the sky) and the recovery does get annoying but, I've taken out plenty of Sunbreakers once they hit their supers. Just a hand cannon headshot and a tripmine and their bodies will be flying like skiff in warp drive. Dont need a nerf to take out Sunbreakers, just need skill.

6 RepliesI'm not emotional about it, but that super is just absurd.

1 ReplyEdited by Vijil: 11/9/2015 3:41:27 PMSunbreaker is the first time I've felt the need to use the term "iwinbutton." Yes they can be killed but the the fact is 9 times out of 10 you're going to lose. Highest kill potential of any super in the game.
-
3 RepliesEvery super other than Sunbreaker has a downside.......... Also, it's moronic to say the tactics you use to kill Sunbreakers is irrelevant, if it's not about melee, range and hammers, what is it about exactly?
-
Agreed.
-
110% agree with you. Finally someone who puts up some good facts
-
What he says is right, the Sunbreaker subclass isnt going to get nerfed so stop your whinning thinking that its going to make the subclass go away and move on
-
No doubt poping it of in front of 2 targets is 90% chance they are both down but to find a third takes me down to 1-2 hammers left. Making man number 3 the last.
-
11 RepliesIts funny how people wont accept how easy it is to counter Sunbreakers with other supers. Or by booping them in the face with a sniper. Or by cramming a shotgun down their throat. "By the gods! Titans have a viable super? That cannot be! Nerf them! Nerf them I say!" - Derty casuls hoo cnt git gud
-
Lol satire?
i really hope so.
Blade dancer was not even half as good in its prime, as sunbreaker is now. Blade dancer received several nerfs which brought it to its current and rather pathetic state. So what makes you so confident bungie wont nerf sunbreaker? Honestly they are just slow at rolling out tuning patches, look how long it took them to tune thorn/tlw.

5 RepliesEdited by Kami: 11/9/2015 4:45:14 PMI would be fine with Sunbreakers... However, the fact that they have a RANGED instant heal perk? That's just broken. I've faced so many Sunbreakers that should've been dead, but nope, they get a kill and they're basically instantly full health. It's game breaking in Trials. Running away is the tactic to battle them effectively? Not even, supers are meant to be strong, however not to the point of unstoppable (except FoH with Unstoppable lol) without needing a super. Bladedancer? Shotgun and melee easily. Or a good snipe. Defender? Multiple Shotgun shells. Gunslinger/stormcaller? Shoot with primary until dead. Nova Bomb/Nightstalker? Shotgun and melee, or snipe. Sunsinger? Multiple shells or snipe. FoH? It's always a hit or miss with this, so Shotgun to the face when in doubt. See? All can be taken down with conventional means. Sunbreaker? Run away and hope that their HITSCAN Hammers don't kill you with their AoE as well. (I say hitscan, however might be wrong term, THEY JUST HAVE BIG HITBOXES [people complain about Golden Gun, however I've used GG before, I literally had so many instances where my shot basically scrapes their helmet]. I've seen Hammers that should have flown past my face, instead they hit me.) Bladedancers have healing too, however they have to get right up to your face and EXTREMELY risky. Not a "free heal" type thing. I would be perfectly fine with Sunbreakers if it wasn't for that single perk. I'm probably going to get hate for this anyways. As people use that perk as a clutch (my teammate for example clutched many rounds in Trials with it). I could care less for the perk in PvE. End ramble.

Bungie already said that they will nerf it
