it lives up to the hype in every way. Haven't found any deathclaws or power armor yet, I'm level 5 ;) just giant mutated mosquito's and animals. I've killed like 5 ghouls so far. I'm playing in survivor mode. The hardest difficulty. You have to drink (clean) water, sleep & eat food on the regular or you'll die. Companions can die & stimpaks work over time. My luck is at 10 for the insane critical boost & my intelligence is 10 so I can craft better gear. My eyes are on making a plasma sniper. Although the guns looks the same they don't act the same. You can melee with any weapon equiped by tapping rb which is nice when things get to close. I've been using a hunting rifle with a silencer I made out of a car Motor oil filter & some military duct tape.. still trying to find a baby bottle to make the scope. Grenades no longer need to be equiped you can passively throw them by holding rb, if you have them in your inventory. I made my guy look as much like me as possible & Mr codswarth knows my name so that's legit. When you look at the simplest things your protagonist acknowledges it. It's strange kinda but really cool at the same time. It makes it feel like the world is living & your character is reacting to it. I'm literally just learning to walk. if you didn't know their isn't a level cap, there is 70 major perks with individual skill trees & 270 minor perks. The starting perks are very similar to fallout 3 but with little twists. & the map is -blam!-ing huge. Something like 14 miles by 45 miles. (estimated) Can't wait for the mod tool so I can make me a motorcycle to cruise around on. Desticles beware, this game is great. Edit1: level 8 suckas. Still getting my Dick punched in, in survivor mode....when you think level 8 that may not be much when it comes to mind.
